It does boggle the mind. A team playing poorly for most of the year, and spent most of the year in the bottom 4. Would have 5 players picked.
Past performances overruled current form.
I am surprised Laurie didn't pick his old mates Frizell, Bird and Teddy.

In the other side of the fence Ponga has been dreadful for the Knights and he gets picked. I think that is a boost for the Knights this week.

And obviously I support those players and wish them the best come next Wednesday but they aren’t the 5 best in their positions based on 2025 form, especially Edwards and Martin.

Yeo was excellent. To'o solid, when he was on the park. Edwards nervy, looks more like 2019 than 2023 atm. Ditto Cleary. Martin quiet. Honestly they looked not dissimilar to how they look at club level atm.
