Moses had one of the quietest games ever for an Origin half, in a side that was totally dominant.

What's his role? Just watch Cleary?
At the end of the day if the halves bring the centres and wingers into the game they’re doing their jobs.

Who throws the last pass is irrelevant if a try is scored. They helped create the space outside and helped get the ball there.

Aside from Moses kicking it in goal on the full he had a good game. Not bad for the first game together as a halves combination.

Both halves defence, but particularly Moses, was awesome.

Cruise control the whole way. Boring, only interesting bit was when Latrell got embarrassed and tried to take someone's head off for 20 minutes. Tino the only one of them up to standard.

Laurie is clearly right handed...at least they way our left side starved most of the game.

The one time we really attacked left against the rookie centre we got a try, but the left half was given 65% of the ball the right got. We won but the coaching didn't look great

Slater was outcoached by NSW greatest ever player last night. He was also beaten at the selection table. It serves him right for picking bums like Loiero just cos he plays for the Storm (which Slater admitted) ahead or Horsbrugh. Collins and Fotuaika also shouldn't have been selected ahead of Big Red. Toia was also a stupid selection (although he done ok I guess). Xavier Savage should've been in the side. Fogarty should also be the 7.

NSW 3 - 0.

Some pretty negative overall comments about the game. I thought it was a pretty good watch on the whole and Im a QLD supporter.

The game was definitely played at a higher speed than any club game this year. Defence from both teams were pretty much a pass mark. Attack from both sides was clunky. Parts of this were due to great defence and parts due to the halves on both sides not getting it right. The NSW halves just did not really gel yesterday while the QLD halves were very hampered by their forwards coming off very much second best to the NSW forwards. The few chances QLD did get, they seemed not up to it. They won't drop DCE as he is captain but I think his rep papers will be pretty much stamped at the end of this series.
I think it's just that we expect better from an Origin game considering how much of the regular season is sacrificed for it. So naturally we have higher standards. It was far from the worst game of footy, but it was pretty average in my opinion.

As a Blues supporter though it was great result and I hope the girls make it a clean sweep tonight.

This is why I've argued we need to expand the Origin concept to include NZ and PNG. Falls in line with the NRL thinking in terms of the entire Pacific region rather than just the traditional states, and most games would be a reasonable contest at least. The Kiwi and PNG fans would really bring something to the concept as well...
This was moronic when it was floated years ago and its still moronic now.

Would be like working out the perfect rum and coke mix then "improving it" by adding vodka and orange juice

Hammer is awesome at FB but a play thing at centre for NSW, and it should have been understood because it happened last series too, I don't know how he goes at wing but he can't stay centre. DCE obvious in hindsight but it should have been obvious before hand. They don't have the luxury of falling out with talent like Fifita. They'll never do it but Munster would best suit 14, or he could go in the centres.
