Yeah I think 1yr is adequate for both. Munro and hopefully Mellars will be in line moving forward by then as our fulltime wingers.

Walker replacement is another question, but at least less pressure to find that player quicker than we need to
Sandon smith should be our priority

Why they posted this to get members hopes up I’ll never know.

We are looking pretty stupid right now with all the petitions, t shirts, ex players, current players etc…. We have played lots of cards already….

Fact of the matter is Solly and whoever else agreed with him on this signed the contract in 2021 knowing major upgrades wouldn’t be happening anyway as I said a few weeks ago the proof will be in the pudding and here we are.

We are currently a rabble on and off the field.

I’ve seen on social media and other forums tonight some have handed their memberships in and others are refusing to renew next year.

Solly and co shouldn’t have down spoken Accor so much as now looks like we are there the next 5-6 years and he’s gonna have to turn around with the club and try encourage fans to go to Accor etc….. you can’t have it both ways. I think we look quite stupid right now.

I’ll be at the game as usual with Dad on Saturday right behind the boys as always.

Bring your bells just before the boys run out will be a loud bell ringing through the stadium Murray and his Dad are ringing them this Saturday night just as the boys run out. You can buy your bells at the stadium too if you don’t have it yet Souths faithful.

I have mine I’ll be ringing it and stamping my feet for this new home game tradition

My preview is up early this week I got asked to do it for another Souths fans site so here we are!

Well Saturday is fast approaching us and we will be back at home at Accor this Saturday Night at 7:35pm for another tough tough game against the Storm. So far in this block of top 4 games in a row we are 0 and 3 certainly not what we wanted. I think against top 8 sides this year we are 0 and 7 as well so it’s not happy reading at all. We started the season 4 and 1 and now find ourselves 6 and 8 so we have lost 7 of the last 9 matches and the boys are down on confidence. We have had a horror injury crisis too as we all know and I think it’s been worse than last year the injury crisis. I do feel though if we had some of our key players available we could’ve beaten teams like the Cowboys and Knights. The competition is so tight though so all is not lost but we need a bounce back this week. I think we’ve played the Storm 42 times and as we know we’ve only ever beaten them 7 times. It’s a terrible record one if not the worst in the game. Also I believe the last 14 times Bellamy and Wayne have gone head to head Wayne has an 0 and 14 record so that’s very ugly reading. We are gonna have to conjure a miracle this weekend to win but miracles can happen.

Looking at the Storm well they’re sitting 4th and are there for a reason and I don’t think they’ve been at their absolute best but I feel they’re about to go up a gear. I actually feel they still have the best spine in the game and for me they are still my premiership favourites. I’m hoping Munster and Grant don’t back up but I expect them too but even if they don’t they still have very good replacements to do the job. J. Hughes is always a big danger as well quality player he is and Pap has been in great form at the back. They have threats like Coates out wide too and we all know what he can do. In the pack they have quality in Uto, J. King, Eli Katoa, Loiero, NAS etc they have threats all over the park that can hurt us. We’ve seen at home this year they’ve racked up some massive scores too so they’re capable of doing that on away games too and if you’re slightly off your game they’ll be up 20 odd before you can blink. Our attitude to our defence needs to be much better every man has to do his job and lift if we slacken off for periods the Storm will smell blood and capatalise in a big way. I feel like we say it every week but we need to try stop the offloads. Too any offloads and the Storm have too much class and will wreak havoc.

Looking at us as I said our attitude to our defence needs to be much better across the 80mins. I want to see line speed we’ve been lacking in that the last few weeks. Kick chase needs to be better as well we’ve been well off in that department. For us well Trell got through origin ok it looks like so hopefully he’s good to go we need him. Cody, Campbell and Keaon as well trained today but whether they all play we don’t know. Certainly I hope at least 2 of the 3 are good to go. I feel our forward pack has to lift as well we need the lads in the middle to run harder onto the ball and make more metres. If we are to be any chance in this game we need to go close to matching the Storm in the middle. If we can do that we will be in the game. The Storm can at times be a bit vulnerable out wide so when we get chances we need to test that. I don’t just wanna see boring one out football otherwise we will be on a hiding to nothing. I’d even like to see us shift out of trouble even inside our own 40 and throw the ball about put some plays on create some doubt in the opposition defence ask questions of them etc…..

I know we have had the stadium thingy play out this week and that we are staying at Accor. I would encourage as many as possible to get out there the boys need our support even in harder times that’s not when we abandon the boys that’s when they need us most. Whilst we haven’t been winning I feel we have shown real fight at times and not rolled over when we could’ve.

Ok not long til the players run out onto Accor Stadium here on this Saturday Night. It’s a chilly night but great to see so much support in the stands for the men in the Mighty Red and Green here tonight. A win tonight would see us close back in on that top 8 so let’s do all we can here to get the boys over the line with those 2 vital competition points. Let’s make plenty of noise for the full 80mins and get that Mighty South Sydney going up and around Accor Stadium and let’s make sure everyone watching at home knows this is South Sydney home turf and a South Sydney home game.

……… Rabbitohs Members and Rabbitohs supporters please give a warm South Sydney welcome to the Melbourne Storm……….

If there is one thing our club knows how to do and thats win a fight against the odds. I still have some degree of hope but as I said it's going to be really, really tough.

JW should be the permanent #6. He is a class player strong and skilled BUT he needs to be a playmaker in the centre of the park.
What has occurred to Speedster?
