I genuinely think they made a mistake with Dolphins, especially being Redcliffe oriented.

İt leaves the two Brisbane sides being Northside oriented.

İt 'could' be solved by Dolphins adopting "South Queensland", opening an Ipswich Academy, and possibly considering the possibility of basing some games in that area 'if' they were to get a stadium out west that was sufficient (at least 20k)

The Lions have made a home in the west in Springfield and Rugby League does need some stronger presence but it may not need another club.

I think there is little chance that happens now that they are already in the competition in their preferred area IMO and where all there infrastructure already is established…

It’s too early to make a call one way or the other with the Dolphins …three years in and still limited success on the field …. I think they will be very popular when they start having some real success …

Ideally the NRL should've planned to add Easts and Ipswich instead of Redcliffe, would've made a lot more sense geographically and it would be so much neater with the divisions.

But like the introduction of the Broncos instead of a northside and a southside BRL club we're stuck with the mess we're in.

On the bright side Redcliffe will always be successful off the field and it's only a matter of time until they find onfield success. They'll always be in the top quarter of the clubs, dragging up everyone else.

4 games CBus, 6 games Suncorp, 1 Sunshine Coast, 1 Toowoomba and maybe 1 away game rocking Newtown colours.

Based in Ipswich. Ipswich reserve upgraded with center of excellence.

Aim to enter NRL between 2030-2033.

Proposed 25k stadium in Ipswich by 2040/42. Then 90% of home games played there, 1 remains in Toowoomba.

Ipswich Jets, Easts Tigers and Western Clydesdales (if they’re still around) to be direct feeder clubs.

Unsure of how proposed ownership split would look like but my guess is it could be Tigers 40%, Jets 35%, Private Sector 15%, Public Membership 10%. That’s just an estimation though.

I don’t like the idea of that stadium split for a “South Queensland Team”.

Why would 90% of games be played in Ipswich is the South QLD team is to represent South QLD. If it’s meant to purely represent Ipswich/Western Corridor then why would it be called “South Queensland”?

If there is to be a Ipswich/Western Corrdior team. They need a new stadium built for entry or to open with 3 years after entering the competition for mine.

In my opinion, if they want to represent “South QLD”, they need to have one home base where they play the majority of their games. I.e 8-10 games at Suncorp. Then spread around other areas one per game.

There is something about this team playing at the Titans home ground I don’t like as well.

far be it from me to tell the QRL how to do this, but playing at Robina doesn't make a lot of sense for mine. If we're taking on the AFL I feel the Coast needs to have a lot of clear air and not be cannibalised by Ipswich. One team, one town - the Titans. Same with the Sunny Coast: that's Dolphins territory, if not now, surely in the future (especially once the redevelopment is done)

Ipswich is pretty tribal with its own identity. I'm sure they could cop playing at Lang Park until North Ipswich is done, and Toowoomba kind of makes sense given it's further west. Other than that feels really... weird.

You'd also have to take into consideration the capacity issues at present: Toowoomba can't really exceed 10,000. Sunshine Coast much the same at the moment. It's the Dolphins at Kayo issue all over again - sure, play in the "homeland" but at what cost to your average crowd?

It will be way better than qe2 and the broncos crowds were their highest there even though it was a dud

The ideal scenario is a 40k stadium I ipsiwch and they play all their games there

25k at ipsiwch would only work if they only pay six home games there and the rest at Suncorp / vic park

Playing games at Sunshine Coast when it’s dolphins territory and they are a sw team is even crazier

Ben ikin has had too many head knocks that proposal is awful

If that’s their proposal they are zero chance against a chch team

Vic Park certainly would be interesting, in a way the Dolphins being there would be the real point of difference between 2 Brisbane teams and if any team is to go there it should be them. Ipswich at Lang Park makes more sense (to me) than Vic Park though

Springfield is the centre of population growth. That's where base should be and it's part of Ipswich council, but right next to Logan.

Morton Bay where dolphins are located has population of about 500k. Biggest region of Brisbane outside of the main council area around CBD. Ipswich & Logan have approximately the same population combined. Ideal situation would be teams in south (jets), north (dolphins) and broncos in centre.
