Once the Broncos max out Suncorp (which I don't think is too far away), all the fans will flock to the Dolphins to get their live NRL fix. I can see a big jump for them when that happens.
100%

can see them picking up a few extra thousands of neutrals just for like you say a live NRL fix.

Didn't Richo threaten to leave if he didn't get the $100m for Campbeltown Stadium?

I agree with Accor though. If it was to get redeveloped in the future, the Tigers would be fools not to take advantage of that.

Richo wanted $50 million in the short term (3 years), and $100 milliin over the next five to ten years. Upgrades would bring saeting to 24k and accommodate 1,500 corporate guests. He had gjven Campbelltown City Council until June 30 to have an agreement in place.

Council have said that they want the Tigers to commit more games at Campbelltown. This year there was only four games- Knights, Warriors, Souths and the Raiders. Tigers lost all of them. It is only late June and there is no more games at Campbelltown this year.

It's a nice stadium, but is a very difficult ground to access both in and out even when the crowd is quite low. An hour and a half each way from the Penrith area. You couldn't even get there from Westmead station in 15-20 minutes, even with the light rail.
Penrith adds nothing to Rugby league. It's not its own city and its too far from every other part of the city it is a suburb of. We should cut it loose.

How come? timetable has a train leaving Penrith station at 6.26pm and arriving at Parra station at 6.51pm. 10min walk or tram down to stadium from station.
Depends on which train. Most of the ones I’ve found take 50 minutes. Add on travel to the station and from the train to the ground and it has to be well over an hour each way.

How the afl tries to get a crowd for the midgets. Put out a shed load of free tickets and a bunch of activities for kids at the ground to hook families in and keep kids entertained.

the fumblers over on Bigfooty trying to claim this crowd as a win 😂

Giving away free tickets for a new team isn't the worst idea in the world, but the fact they need to do that 15 years on must surely concern the AFL.

Yeah the fact that gws are still being called an expansion side 15 years on and given so many extra concessions and have to give away bulk free tickets is a big problem for them.

AFL have deep pockets though they’ll keep trying and trying to get a foothold

It’s got less to do with the journey time from Penrith to Parramatta, and more to do with:
- Where people work, how they would get to Parramatta, and how they would get home?
- If they work in Penrith, do they need to drive to the commuter car park to get the train?
- If the game is too early, will the commuter car park still be full as people will not have returned from their place of work on the train to pick up their car?

The outer suburbs of Sydney have very different land use and transport characteristics to those in the inner city, or even the middle ring suburbs.

This is a strange take when it’s the one current Sydney team getting a new stadium at a cost of $309 million to NSW taxpayers, off the back of winning four premierships and five grand finals in a row.

Couple that with a sprawling leagues club and strong population growth in a focus area for development and tomorrow’s Penrith will be one of the strongest clubs with the strongest brands in the NRL

Wasting your time with this flog mate. He’s up to his neck in being a know all and is quickly deteriorating into becoming the club bore. This thread has always been like this though. Some people just seem to think they know bloody everything.
Mostly the people who have never lived in Sydney and support out of Sydney clubs or in the case of a couple soap dodging Poms who think taking a shower is taboo and paying a visit to the dentist gives them anxiety.

Cronulla, play your big games at the new stadium, same as Saint George Illawarra. I obv go for Parra, but I live in the Gong, the Saints need to do more. FFS where I live, Eastern Suburbs Roosters Run the Local pokie club which backs right on the backdoor of the local RL field.

Nothing against the Roosters, good on ya. But the Dragons, what are you doing? You have one of the best RL playing high schools going in Berkeley High, yet you're letting the Roosters and other pluck it dry. Time to give the Illawarra their team. Take the Big games to the big shiny new stadium and play the rest here in the gong. Anyone who wants Kogarah games, line up for pre season.

Manly, you should do the same.

The problem is that you carry on like a smart ass and a know all. If you want to constantly fire shots at a club you have to expect a response from its followers. Sadly for you, that’s not possible. But do carry on. Just don’t expect every one to agree with you. By the way I visited Newcastle a couple of months ago. It’s a dump.
Wahhh wahhh hahahaha

That's exactly what fans of out of Sydney clubs don't get.

They'll never have to move out of their ground yet are happy to tell others to.

It's a f**king joke.
What fans of Sydney clubs don't get, is that in Brisbane, Melbourne, Auckland, Gold Coast, etc everybody leaves their suburb to go to the game. Nobody actually lives in Milton, everybody travels to get to Suncorp. So when the idea of playing a few games at Allianz causes Cronulla fans to get their backs up, most of us just shake our heads. A few on here on both sides carry on like mongs about it and it's f**king tiresome.

Once again with the insults. Are you okay?

I would really like to know what I said in my response (which I thought was pretty respectful to Adelaide Sharky) that made you think I'm a flog? Or do you just call that to people who have different opinions to you?
Whether it be to agree or disagree. Unfortunately he calls everyone a flog. This is his nature!

Tell us you know nothing about Sydney when you know nothing about Sydney.
Why should fans of Sydney clubs have to travel over an hour away from their team's home ground to travel to the eastern suburbs of the city?
This is not the f**king AFL where 9 out of the 10 Victorian clubs are all within 10-15 mins of each other so playing at the MCG & Marvel works.
Sydney is far more spread out and as I said in here the distance between Cronulla & Manly, heck it's a shorter easier drive down the freeway to Wollongong than it is to get to Brookvale.
Two clubs on completely opposite sides of the metropolitan area playing home games in the eastern suburbs is a nonsense.
