I think his departure is a good thing all around.
Yep the club stood by him when legal proceedings were on.
I think he has paid the team back by his efforts since.
(questionable morals at the time of incident but thankfully for all, After the court case hasn’t been an ongoing soap opera in the media)
Feel pain and sympathy for all involved, especially for women involved.
However
He is at the end of his career and will leave still at a high performance level - Imagine when his form warrants dropping him and the detractors start.
This can happen at Parra but he will still give them effort for a season or 2.
Won’t be the record holder for most games, but has still served the club well, and doesn’t allow any more negative publicity.
From all accounts I’ve heard, he has been a cleanskin since the BBQ.
