Egan

all emerging middles

Guler middle
Sele middle
Klem staying on for minimal $
Hopefully fighting for Kobe Hetherington middle

sort of makes sense to grab another genuine edge player to replace Luc and the other 7 fight for the middle rotation

Egan has been described a few times by Flanno as a Lock and he ended up a significant % defending in the middle in his NRL games this season

Garner though can play centre and edge second row and is pretty solid
Thank you for your great informative post, Auntie Gerald

I, too, watched the Kenty video about JDB being told he wasn't wanted at the club anymore and it blind siding him and leaving him in tears! I must say I was not surprised to read that Haran was at the meeting. But we all know that the club does not like to listen to fans.

I really wish JCB had not used the language and aggressive and insulting tone that he used to convey his messages. The majority of his messages had solid merit, it was the delivery that let him down. It also reflected poorly on fellow fans. He meant well I believe but here is the danger of social media. Fans cannot Vet their spokes people.

Another stuff-up by Haran. This CEO had better realise that Haran is one of the main reasons this club is not performing to potential.

A listener messaged in a rumour to the ABC saying he had heard the Dragons had found some cash for JDB.
It was put to Michael Carryannis, who said he had heard the same rumour, but he would need to get it confirmed.
Sounds like there could be a late offer during the 10 day cooling off period?

I think his departure is a good thing all around.
Yep the club stood by him when legal proceedings were on.
I think he has paid the team back by his efforts since.
(questionable morals at the time of incident but thankfully for all, After the court case hasn’t been an ongoing soap opera in the media)
Feel pain and sympathy for all involved, especially for women involved.
However
He is at the end of his career and will leave still at a high performance level - Imagine when his form warrants dropping him and the detractors start.
This can happen at Parra but he will still give them effort for a season or 2.
Won’t be the record holder for most games, but has still served the club well, and doesn’t allow any more negative publicity.
From all accounts I’ve heard, he has been a cleanskin since the BBQ.
Frees up some money.
Bring on the new juniors and a couple of recruits??

Our emerging juniors are developing well but I don't know (with exception of LPT) if they have the size and aggression to be alpha middles. We would all like our local juniors to be successful but they should all be viewed in comparison with those playing in other clubs. We have fallen into the trap before of being overly enthusiastic about our juniors only to be disappointed. I can only hope that our brains trust are considering all possibilities when considering our future talent. You've also got to consider that the rooster's have very little in the way of a junior league but still manage pretty well by preying on the juniors of other clubs.
