Yeah they've signed Bryan for next year as well, so presumably saw more value in getting him into their system now and handling his rehab themselves than they did in whatever they thought Arthur would offer them for the rest of the year.

So correct me if I am wrong.
Manly won’t have DCE 2026 but have allowed their Cup 7 to sign with Knights for 2026 and it’s locked in, Arthur to Knights.
So Brailey to Canberra and Arthur 1 & 2 to 9 & 14 in 2026 a likely occurrence

Well you asked...
Manly allowed their cup 7 to sign with the Knights for the remainder of 2025.
Arthur 9 & 14 in 2026 is not likely either, no.

Knights have signed 26 year old prop Peter Hola for 2026. He is currently playing Qld cup but has played 15 NRL games for Cowboys and Canberra up till last year.

Jack Hetherington had interest from Manly and Warriors, but they both backed out when they found how much money he is on for the rest of this year.

POS has an eye on Trey Mooney because of rumours he is unhappy with his lack of game time in Canberra, but can't talk to him because he is still contracted next year. He is also looking at a number of other props.

Jack Hilliar was given permission to look elsewhere and was snapped up by the bulldogs.

Knights tried hard to sign TDS but he is still living at home with his parents and was never leaving Sydney. Toohey says Knights haven't ruled out going for Reed Mahony - which sounds like he asked them and they wouldn't deny it.

Thanks!

Hope not re Mahoney. Hate that bloke (although an early release to play in the same team as Hethrington would be funny).

Trey Mooney would be a good get. He’d walk into our 17, maybe even a starting spot. Too good to be rotting in reserve grade much longer.

Whilst I don’t love Mahoney’s antics he’s a proper hooker with plenty of NRL experience and would allow us to have Phoenix play more at 13 which is starting to look like the plan. We could do a lot worse imo, can’t see him going for big $$$ either.

He looked to have a heap of potential a couple of years ago. Looked like he was about to embark on a good first grade career then hasn’t really kicked on. Change of scenery might help (although looks like it would be for 2027 at the earliest).

Reed Mahoney would be a quality
Pickup. He has the grub in him but his ability seems to have been forgotten by many. I am all for it. He would be a huge leg up for Dylan at HB as he knows his game well.
Mooney is a no brainer. He is a victim of the quality of the team he plays for. Ricky Stuart is having a renaissance and it is a full credit to him.

Don't know what to think of Reed. The Eels didn't want to keep him despite not really having a backup plan. He's busted his arse for the Dogs trying to make them competitive for years but they don't want him either, in fact there have been rumours of them shopping him for months. That gives a very Hastings vibe that he's a massive pain in the arse off the field.
