Latrell needs to go for Best
Moses for Cleary
Young for Martin
Papenhuyzen for Edwards
Upgrade on Robson
Anyone for Connor Watson

Think this is a bit unfair.

I felt Latrell was one of the few NSW players that was actually looking dangerous and Watson provided some kind of spark.

I did find myself thinking whilst watching the game that Papenhuyzen should've been the replacement for Tedesco and that Cleary was outplayed by Luai.

Cleary, Edwards, To'o and Martin haven't looked fit all year.

Hence the start to the club season.

Madness selecting/playing them.

I'm not sure what happens to Nathan in Origin.

He's played in much higher stakes games and dominated.

Absolutely played within himself tonight.

Didn't think Luai was much better at all but Cleary v Dearden wasn't even a contest. Injury can be the only excuse. When the big moments came Cleary wasn't getting his hands on the ball. Caught on the forth constantly. Predictable with his kicking.

Maybe his worst Origin performance? We've cleared out bums like Tedesco to make sure that Cleary is the number one playmaker. Saying he was second fiddle is generous. Edwards looked more involved.

Not that we should care. He has a premiership to win now.

Happy if we blacklist everyone involved in this game. Be nice to have a team not f**ked by Origin mid year.
Not sure about blacklist but I think a few things need to be set in stone;
-Daley couldn’t coach his way out of a wet paper bag, I’d bring in Des tbh.
-Cleary and Luai combo just doesn’t work at this level, it’s too methodical and predictable, love Cleary as a club halfback but at this level he’s a just a more mentally resilient Mitchell Pearce.
-Yeo is a front rower at origin level.
-Between King, Spencer and Stefano you can’t have 3 observers, across 2 games the 3 of them averaged a poultry 50m a game.
-Martin isn’t a 80min forward, you want him emptying the gas tank with kick pressure, line speed, kick chase, etc, when you ask him to play 80 he needs to pace himself which doesn’t serve any purpose to the side

Pearce had to play against way more difficult opponents in that QLD team than Cleary is.

This should FINALLY end all the BS that he’s as good as Johns. Great systems player no doubt, but he’s probably a closer comparison to Cooper Cronk than Johns.
The difference is that Cooper Cronk played well in Origin. Cleary becomes a true Penrith Panther and goes missing in the Blue Mountains somewhere.

I’d go Moses first. A Moses and Katoa halves pairing is worth trying.

I still think Cleary and Moses is worth a look. You can't question Cleary's grit and game management, he just has absolutely no ability to change the plan on the run. Maybe the downside of how fking good Penrith's system based plans have been.

But whether it was coaching or Cleary, they need to break out of the Game 1 thing where they starved Moses of footy.

I thought that was one of the most boring origins as a series I’ve seen. There was probably one exciting 40 mins out of the 6 played halves of footy played. The standard of footy was pretty poor and something just felt off in terms of the vibe.

Mayne it’s just me losing interest as I get older…

The scoreline in this one was flattering to NSW. QLD thoroughly deserved it and NSW genuinely looked disinterested. Its one thing to lose but don’t think I’ve seen worse effort plays in a decider by any origin team.

And Dearden , this bloke is a magnificent rep player. He’s good for his club but is fantastic when he plays for QLD or Aus. You’ve got to respect a player like that when the vast majority are the exact opposite; look good in a stacked side but dont step up against the best of the best.
From an entertainment perspective it was a boring series.

QLD had 1 error, thats because they took no risks

A bit high on Hass, but a fair appraisal. I didn’t look at the QLD ratings. Congratulations.

NSWRL should be embarrassed.
