I was actually having this discussion with my old man this morning. Does the fact we have a smaller depth of players to choose from actually work in our favour to a degree?

He was saying that Tallis on NRL360 mentioned Nate Myles wouldn’t have played a game if he was a NSWelshman instead of the 17 or so for us.

Does it then positively affect a player’s mentality to buy in to being the underdog and raising their game?

Clearly; I don’t have the answers but the facts are facts. We keep winning series that on paper we shouldn’t be and there must be some reason for that.
QLD got very favorable refereeing in game two in the first half.

Think Munsters dad passing was huge motivation for the Queenslanders , this cant be under estimated

Motivation of any kind is temporary , its not something that is sustainable long term,
But in this situation it made a huge impact to each Queensland player in the game for mine, the motivation was huge

You captain turns up to play along side you, after his dad passed and he could have sat out the game?? Bloody hell put yourself in any QLD players position. You are going to be more razor sharp, more focused, your not going into that 80min giving less than 200% in any second of the game

Watch that half of football again if you can bring yourself to do it. Luai was idiotic. Daley himself said in the lead up to this they need to be more disciplined. You also got a 7-3 count last night and about five or six forward passes let go. There can be no complaints on the whole. NSW shit the bed. Again.

Do QLD have a smaller depth these days?

Just looking at your fullback depth it's pretty decent..

NSW have 1 or 2 fullbacks QLD 4 ish

A lot smaller. In fact every eligible player is listed here:

Fullback we are certainly strong, I agree. But you guys have the Australian fullback to be fair.

Exactly why I bet on Qld last night despite being a lifelong NSW supporter. Sometimes the pocket overrules the heart.

I can only see maybe 6 NSW 2025 SOO players surviving till 2026. Cleary will give up and move to the UK to be with guess who. Luai will leave the Tigers and return to Pamfers but not be picked for SOO, depending on injuries. Will be a Katoa/Moses halves combination. May and Kaloamatangi will make the squad. The rest will be a lucky dip.

Edwards is shit! That's right I said it.

Halves are better forwards are better hookers... Only thing NSW has is centres for a year or 2.

Luai thought he was playing in the Pamfer-friendly NRL.

Hammer should be the Australian fullback honestly, it’s also crazy it’s taken this long for him to get the QLD #1 and it was purely because of an injury to the overrated Ponga.

No arguments from me. I think the only reason he wasn’t is because we try to squeeze as many classy players into a side as we can. Billy bit the bullet picking Shibasaki and boy did he deliver. Ponga’s injury made the choice easier.

for example I give your Dearden

he plays origin and gets the Wally medal, yet if Mitch and Chin boy are fit at the end of the year, does Dearden play for the Kangaroos ?

I think some of these Queenslanders would rather play for Qld than the Kangaroos

Deardon was the 6 last year for the Kangaroos and incumbent.

He looks like a player that would kill for any rep jersey.

I think Munster plays 6 if he's fit, or at least he would in my team, first player picked, I'm a big fan

Dearden, Mitch or Chin boy can fight it out for no 7

I am going to email Laurie Daley and plead with him to retire from coaching or head to England to coach.
