Nice to see the girls getting off the mark with a win against Parra today after a rough start against the premiers. Haven’t watched the game yet as I was at work but looking forward too catching up on it and seeing how much they’ve improved from round one.

(mods should we merge last weeks game day thread into this one? Not sure there’s the interest level here for weekly game day threads yet)

I watched it and it was pretty enjoyable. Pretty high error rate but its early yet. They have some handy players. Maliepo, the #6 looks very good and in the forwards, Butler and Albert-Jones look strong. Michaela Brake is a weapon but I'm picking she'll be getting targeted with some high balls. Its not something she's used to and looked a little. vulnerable.

Keeping the Eels to 0 was pretty pleasing after conceding 30 last week

Brake should be a fullback or a halve, needs her hands on the ball more. She's an out and out gun athlete

Yeah I noticed some fairly fundamental schoolgirl errors, things that are more down to inexperience than lack of skill so I’m confident they’ll tighten those up and improve them.
