He wasn’t bad at 9. I would have liked to have seen him there longer. Smith is back next week. I think he’ll leave Joash at 6 and put Dylan somewhere else.
Doesn’t alter the fact he’s playing g like he’s elsewhere already, and that’s crap for someone that has been looked after by the club for 10 years. A sad reality that is shown in his performance, he deserves as much support as the effort he puts in, close to zero

Just remind us all when Dylbro has played like a world class anything this season. He’s basically hardly put in an effort compared to previous years, and until he gives a shit? Why should the coaching staff or fans.
You can have a rant about Dylan with someone else. Facts are that we are a better side with him on the field and rookies can learn much more from him playing than being in reggies or warming a bench.

Agree with Walker compensating for Papalii. Joash is not a 5/8 and never will be. Guys like Hayne and Ponga never really made the successful switch from fullback to 5/8. And they are bigger and more skilled than Joash . Do we think Joash has more chance than them?
Yet Preston Campbell did......

I say the only reason they didn't, is they weren't given the time to develop into the 5/8 role. Considering they were/are the highest paid players and pretty much one the best at fullback, it's understandable they weren't given 12-24 months develop into the role....

It was frustrating to see an attacking structure effective against Penrith's defence, only to provide minimal points due to unforced errors. You can't beat good sides making that many mistakes.

The one sided officiating is getting really old. The "tip sheet" has got to go. Just Ref what you see.

On Joash, I was waiting to see this amazing speed and footwork that was breathlessly described over the preseason and in Cup. Unless he shows he can make breaks or create gaps for his edge I don't see him as a 6.

We are getting too predictable kicking for Lomax. Why not use him as a decoy on occasion and have someone else go for the ball? Also, nothing worse watching a successful bat back only for the opposition to fall on the loose ball.
We played panthers.....they aren't going to give space on the edge for halves to run, especially when we did not win the middle....

Dylbro is a really nice guy, met him numerous times, but this season has been a terrible year. He’s hardly tracking back in defence and his effort plays are way down, as soon as he plays to his standard, then welcome him back - not the displays we have seem for the majority of the season. Not a rant, an observation of his contribution compared to his real potential and previous efforts.

Errors / completion rate cost us yesterday, it's that simple! Just like the dogs game.

However we had a very inexperienced spine. Our spine (with TDS not Drown) had approx 64 games experience

Panthers spine (with Cleary not Schneider) has 405 games experience.

Even their least experienced Talagi has 30 games (Schneider has 34), more than our most experienced TDS has 22 and Hawkins 22. Iongi (16) Papali (5), combined have less....

It's always going to be tough with much inexperience. But we will be better for it.

Yes we need to be remined that he is a rookie as well. Is our aim to develop or win games here ? I highly doubt Belly or Bennett would bench or shift a world class 6 in July to benefit the advancement of a fullback to play 5/8 - who has only ever play 6 twice before in opens in his life.

Highly nitpicky but Dyl is not World Class

You're still ignoring what I said. We are a better side with with Dylan playing in the 13 notwithstanding his current form. Dylan playing half arsed is better than any reggie we have or rookie trying to be an NRL player. If we don't find a spot for him next week, then Ryles has lost the plot. Play him in the centres instead of reggies - that's what Jack Gibson* would do.

* I don't think Jack would move Dylan away from 6 in the first place.

I thought he played well. Best game so far. If he keeps improving he may get off the shit list and be resurrected during Orthodox Easter in 2026.
Another who IMHO was placed on the Shit List too early.
Had played 6 first grade games when added on 2nd May.
Not really enough to properly gauge his potential and write him off.

And Jack Williams not charged. I thought everyone said he was gorne for a long holiday ? I couldn't see it and they don't play replays like that at the ground.

Nope Russell f**ked up
It’s a team game. Chinry went through the gap between Russell’s inside and Papali’i’s outside. The play was run to isolate someone, either Tago on our backrower, Chinry on Russell, or Alamoti on JAC. What we need to do better is communicate. Russell is blinded to what is occurring on inside of play so Papalii needed to communicate he was covering Tago. If he did then Russell needs to listen or communicate he’s sliding. JAC & Iongi as well need to assist

Are you daring to question binary assessment of players? If so, you’re an idiot! Or a genius, I haven’t decided yet
