Hopgood works hard in defence and makes his tackles. He's not the attacking player he was before his injury but he is still a good defender. The only reason to get rid of him is if we're paying too much.
Why would Tino choose Parra ahead of all other 18 teams, and what would he likely want to even remotely consider coming here?If we land Tino, Hopgood will be surplus to requirements.

Of which he could get tax free in PNGThat's the 1.5 million dollar question

We're a bottom 6 side and would need to sign 3-4 quality NRL players before Tino would consider us a team that can win the title in the next 5 years.Correct but by the questions he is asking he Titans about plans for the future I think he wants to go to a team that can win in the next 5 years..
Doubt PNG win a competition

We need players who want to play for us for the right reasons. Not because we've begged them to come.Correct fairly sure I posted previously about Ryles needing to get on his knees and give Tino whatever he needs to get him here it's highly unlikely but we won't win a competition without a player like him.
There has to be a circuit breaker. We can’t do it with fringe first graders. Dogs did it several times and I’d argue they were in a worse situation than us.We're a bottom 6 side and would need to sign 3-4 quality NRL players before Tino would consider us a team that can win the title in the next 5 years.

I think it's futile. Why would Ryles be able to convince him ahead of all of the other 18 teams? What is our USP?Most players come for the money..
The rest of your post I'll ignore as Tino would want to win a competition, and that's where Ryles needs to explain to Tino and where he fits in and what the plan is for the future.

I don't disagree, but I also don't see Tino happening...ever.There has to be a circuit breaker. We can’t do it with fringe first graders. Dogs did it several times and I’d argue they were in a worse situation than us.
You'd have to ask Tino what would be the USP for him to choose Parra over the other 17 NRL clubs. We might have had a decent chance if Josh Hanney was coach??

I don't believe we would also ever be the highest bidder for Tino's services either.
You’re probably right, mate. But we live in hope.I don't disagree, but I also don't see Tino happening...ever.

None of that could convince a 19 year old who supported the club all his life, is managed by the cousin of our Captain, who apparently wanted him to sign with us, and a player who was apparently keen to get out of his current club to want to come to the club.top 3 halfback in the world
