So no penalty, no on report but gets suspended
....f%#& me...Nrl is a fkn joke...
We should have got the penalty. Probably shoot for goal and go into halftime up 12-6View attachment 104147
I assume that was when lomax did the 2 point FG attempt off a slow play the ball when Kautoga couldn't get up from memory.

In hindsight if he lays down does the bunker get involved.

Ill say Probably not but its a lottery what the bunker ends up ruling on some of those.

Another who IMHO was placed on the Shit List too early.
Had played 6 first grade games when added on 2nd May.
Not really enough to properly gauge his potential and write him off.
They always have time to redeem themselves and be taken off during the holiest week of the year. We are a forgiving bunch.

All is not lost.

It’s a team game. Chinry went through the gap between Russell’s inside and Papali’i’s outside. The play was run to isolate someone, either Tago on our backrower, Chinry on Russell, or Alamoti on JAC. What we need to do better is communicate. Russell is blinded to what is occurring on inside of play so Papalii needed to communicate he was covering Tago. If he did then Russell needs to listen or communicate he’s sliding. JAC & Iongi as well need to assist

Yeah I was just poking Pou..

It was a terrible defensive read by Joash and Russell.

I don't think we communicated well yesterday

Which is going to be a problem with less experienced players but to be fair to Papalii et al, it’s not like we communicated well the past 2 seasons either. As I told my son in soccer, that level of communication can be closer to intuition/telepathy. Sometimes you may only have enough time for one word or even just saying a player name with no verbal context and in that you’re trying to give detailed direction for the other player to understand and then do something in an even shorter space of time.

It didn't help when Kuatoga went off at halftime either he would have been positioned on the left helping in defense.

Could have been put on report at half time, bunker completely missed it.

Penrith has had plenty of plodders in their top 30 over the past four years. Some of those years they had the likes of Momirovski, Staines and Tyrone May in their top 17 ffs
As a defensive centre, Momirovski was tremendous for us in the back end of '21. Moved Crichton to the wing. Staines 6 tries in his first 2 games had the Panther bosses reaching for the chequebook to keep him. TMay was only ever a 14 in the NRL but has done well as a half/five-eighth in the SuperLeague. Seems to have a habit of reaching big finals.

he's the Kiwi 5/8, thats the definition of world class
Nah. New Zealand doesn’t have enough world class players to have one at every position. They’d be lucky to have half a dozen players who were world class. Most of them wouldn’t make Origin if they were eligible.

But Dylan Brown was world class a couple of years ago, and presumably still has the talent to play that well. That’s why Newcastle threw the bank at him.

And whilst he isn’t perfect either he does usually cover space pretty well.

It’s a BAism but fixing that try defence is easy. BA just forgot to include that easy fix at Thursday night training sessions

And Jack Williams not charged. I thought everyone said he was gorne for a long holiday ? I couldn't see it and they don't play replays like that at the ground.

Tbh it wasn't that bad - I just assumed that, because he wears Blue and Gold, that he'd be suspended for ages.
