2012....Sharks Year

I went to Uni with Riolo… always been a bit of a questionable character. Many years ago he started Titan management with Issac Moses so he’s learnt from the best. They were both up to their eyeballs in the Storm salary cap scandal back in 2011. I’d be listening more to what B2 said recently about wanting to stay a Shark than what Tony Adam’s and Riolo have said. Yes he needs an upgrade for sure…. Hopefully BHU and Noodles like the idea of living in Perth.

Great timing for Brailey with the form he's in, probably added an extra 100k per year to the contract based on the last few games alone.

And like so many over the years, as soon as the Contract is signed the performance drops significantly.
I dunno…he’s a good kid with a good head on his shoulders apparently. Said something in that recent interview that he gets pissed with himself for the week when he doesn’t run enough in a game. I like the fact that he’s gonna get 5 games against lesser opposition over the next month or so to keep building his confidence running wise. The whole side benefits from him running. Probably no coincidence that Nicho and Tricky have looked a bit better this last couple of weeks.

I'm old school. I get pissed off with contract talks when a bloke still has the whole of next season contracted to a club.

Far can strange world we live in these days.

I’d love to pick up either Koula or Averillo to play fullback. Both I think would be realistic options and be an upgrade if we could cut a player or two.

Stewart and Ison battling it out would be great.

Kennedy does have an offer though don't listen to fox sports.

Yep - NRL360 death-riding the Sharks, claiming that Brailey will be on the way out if he's not on a million-dollar contract, etc, etc...

Even Braith laughed and said along the lines of "yeah beat up Brailey will stay a Shark". Remember when Joey said Trindall was a 900k half and he signed for 600k...

Interesting though we are talking to Brails now and haven't officially locked Kennedy down. Says a lot.

He has been around long enough to know that he should run more. So why has he limited his running game in the past? He moved up after Jayden left for the Knights, his running game has been sporadic at best.

Imagine paying a guy who has played no rep football a million bucks.

Poor old harry grant is only on $800k

Is Brailey consistent and durable. Absolutely, but prior to this month he tackled and shovelled the ball out.

I like douhei but can’t see where he would fit.
Have to take that Atkinson small middle halves cover spot, interspersed with reserves games.

Having McInnes Hohepa and Berrell in the squad covers all that

Yep. He's a good player, one that if you have room to fit him in you do, not the type of player you make room to fit, aka AFB.
We don't have the room.
UNLESS...

We let Will Kennedy go...

Then:

1. Hynes (obviously, with an off-season training at FB)
6. Douehi
7. Trindall
9. Brailey

I could live with that.
I don't THINK that that is what will happen, though. Fitzy seems absolutely adamant that Hynes is his 7...

The only time Hynes should have a 1 on his jersey is if it's followed with a 4 or higher.

. Douehi goes to lock or FB. Hynes at fb would be a disaster under the high ball. Kennedy is near as you can get to perfect. Even Dylan Edward’s can spill a few. Kennedy dose not have the body to stop a breakthrough runner. We need a heavy hitter at fb.
