He can work he way back from Cup is good enough. Martin has had it far too easy for far too long

Gee when you get a 'set' on a penrith player, you go all out. Don't you.

I do think 'Chins' you're having a lend of a sad soul like me......

Happy I was able to get out to Parramatta tonight. Despite a shaky first 20 or so with some errors our defence never looked too troubled and we were able to put a bit of a score on. The form of Talagi, Jenkins, Papali'i etc now compared to a couple of months ago is a complete contrast. We have a pretty challenging run home on paper but if we are able to play our style of keeping ball in play and tiring out teams, we back our defence and fitness to get us the wins.

Martin has been mediocre in regular season games since mid 2022.

He turns it on in the finals and he's lucky the rest of the team has bailed him out in the last eight weeks or so.
Facts but his best is spectacular. Let's see it Marto!

All the crap on here about marto is ludicrous.

I watched him very closely tonight and i could write a long winded post about keyboard warriors on here with no idea.

Fact is his line speed in defence was incredible and ive never seen garner, soro or paps get remotely close to what he did off the balk tonight..

You cant quantify that kind of effort in stats..

On another note.. dyl is the fittest his been in years and is looking like hes ready to carry us to a prelim or gf. He was everywhere again.

Jenkins form has certainly slipped a little but that was expected as he was playing well above his ability really. By September hopefully Alamoti is on that wing as he makes more meters and is just a better player with more upside.

I was thinking the same thing. Although Jenkin’s defensive reads and his intercepts have been very good this season. I would be ok with either of them playing. Jenkins has less brain snaps than Alamoti.

A few months back when Blaiz and Casey where dropped I mentioned to be any chance Penrith need those two to come good and to find a bench forward who can be a wrecking ball. All 3 has happened and the 5 peat could be on.
I like the idea of L.Martin off the bench.

The height that Jenkins can jump gives us a real threat on attacking kicks, and he is creating doubt in opposition wingers and causing dropped kicks.

And the difference between them in the metres they make per game is minimal.

We are certainly lucky to have a first grade quality back 5 reserve, and it is a good option no matter which player is picked to play.

While I agree with you and Girds in this one, let’s not through the ‘f’ word about unless we are quoting stats or things that can be measured objectively. You don’t want to start sounding like Trump or Chins…
Liam Martin leads our kick chase, that’s a fact. That’s his job.

Liam Martin controls our line speed, that’s a fact. That’s also his job.

It’s not difficult to comprehend
