We didn't tank last year. We just had our star go off before the finish. You can still hold back plays too. We put in a big game against a big opponent for sure.

4th means we play Canberra. Potential week off. You know already how much that would mean for the injured guys in our team.

I said last year that the team was holding a few trick plays in the bank in the finals.. luke bowden hammered me and denied thats something wed do..

Yet in the gf in the storm we ran out a trick play to score the try in the corner with alamonti and Luai switching roles.

At this point we need to back ivan..

Lets hopefully just jag top 4 and i think we'll see a different team come finals..

Even next few weeks against the top teams id keep some plays in the bag.. i think we can out grind melbs and the dogs.

That was Smith's best ever game. Stood uo big time

Really good to make it 9 straight and pile on plenty of points in those conditions. Still one or two little flat spells in the game but pretty ruthless and likes of Papali'i, Smith etc did in a fine job with Yeo not there. More serious footy starts next week though.

Call me crazy but I actually think our pack is better now then it was last year. With Lindsay and Henry in good form, patea coming in as a great impact prop and paps just being good everywhere, and garner playing career best footy we just have good depth and versatility in the pack now and fair bit of strike, a lot of skilled forwards also, the mix is just fitting together really well. We regularly have a bench with paps, garns or sorro and patea which is very good.

Not disrespecting Fish cause he’d still be our best prop but the pack in its current form with everyone healthy is very good.

I also think Blaize offers more to our attack than Luai.

if we had no Cleary. I think Romey would be the better guy to direct the team around. But with Cleary directing it feels like Blaize is more of a threat as his halves partner.

Great win. We were very good in the first 50 minutes. I don’t think I’ve seen such a dominant first half in a long time - seemed like we had 70% of the ball.

Sets up a tantalising game vs the Storm. Both sides will be up for it. I’d like us to have a real crack at them.
