Based on this, Dolphins might be in their heritage jersey tonight:
For what it's worth, I'd bundle this into one line. One off, or heritage - one or the other. Never both.* heritage
* any other special one-offs (Knights miners, Broncos all black, ect).
I'd be happy with that scenario.For what it's worth, I'd bundle this into one line. One off, or heritage - one or the other. Never both.
I suppose having an alternate indigenous kit is yet another one-off kit, of which I feel there are too many as is, and I think there used to be a limit per season.
In your scenario, clubs would have up to 6 or 7 kits per year:
* main ('home')
* alternate ('away')
* ANZAC
* indigenous #1
* indigenous #2
* heritage
* any other special one-offs (Knights miners, Broncos all black, ect).
In my mind, it would take some co-ordinating, but if the NRL could work it so that the clubs could each have a main base colour of their indigenous kit and only play clubs that don't clash with it two weeks in a row, then every club could play in their indigenous kit in consecutive weeks.
For example, there are a number of clubs that have used dark blue / black as their base colour (Melbourne, Roosters, NthQld, ect), so have, say, Dragons or Knights in their mostly red-based kits play play against these teams to avoid a clash. Don't play, say, Roosters vs Canberra one week then Roosters vs Melbourne the next, because then one of those teams aren't going to be able to wear their indigenous kit the 2nd week.
I'm sure Newcastle could have worn their mostly-red indigenous kit again today against NthQld if they really wanted to, but I suspect some clubs didn't want to wear it twice, regardless of if they could have or not.
Twice this year, actually. The ANZAC kit was just the black NIB logo sans background, sitting on the white section of the jersey. But twice this year without a green box is twice more than any year since they came on board as major sponsor, so it's a win for us this year. And we don't get many wins in any aspect as Knights fans, so yay for us..!there's probably contractual arrangements too, like say NIB does the right thing and makes their sponsor nicely integrated...you only see that jersey on field once etc. because we need the big green sticker back!
Sounds like Naidoc weekjust f**ken talk to who your playing in Indigenous round and make sure they dont clash. if its Indigenous round, you were your jersey. Yes it can be worn multiple times, but dont make it a 2 in a row thing or "ah we must wear this at home", that defeats the point of the Indigenous round...
huhSounds like Naidoc week

I'm not sure. It's interesting though because there one of the financiers mentioned for a R360 franchise. They obviously know the difference between union and league, and have a very keen interest in the NRL judging by the detail they've outlined in this article on the company web page.It says the partnership kicked off at the Start of 2025.
Can't say I've noticed it at all.
I assume it's a minor sponsor??
Thanks for posting mate. I remember this from earlier in the year.I'm not sure. It's interesting though because there one of the financiers mentioned for a R360 franchise. Most of their activations have been in-stadium and have been limited to NRL run events so far (Vegas, SOO & WSOO).It says the partnership kicked off at the Start of 2025.
