I think it evolved a bit.

Originally a lot of the information said a completely new western stand and a significantly refurbished eastern stand.

Then somewhere along the way it change to two completely new stands.

My understanding is the stands will be very similar to Commbank, same company is responsible for designing both.

Great, so we will have cramped seating in a soulless Stadium, so that we can accomodate an extra 5000 peak crowd. We will all probably pay double the price for season tickets then we used to.

I absolutely hate everything about this stadium redevelopment.

Drove past today and it looks as though the first pieces of the new eastern grandstand have started to be put in place.

The progression will become more and more visible as each week passes. I can see the northern end of the eastern stand from my apartment. The top part anyway.

I'm thinking one-day at least 1 will be gone for another grandstand. Do they need that street between the pace way and the stadium?

That Stadium will not be built.
You would have to use elevators to get the public into and out of the stadium.
Ever imagine an evacuation? Will never happen.

Our new stadium is progressing each and every week. The frame for eastern stand appears complete and pre fab concrete base for seating has well and truly commenced. The site now has three large cranes on site so perhaps work on western grandstand may not be far off. There is no shortage of personnel on site in a daily basis so all seems to be progressing well.

Yes seeing the big white frame up recently is promising.

Its not what everyone hoped for but its a big upgrade on facilities. I'm expecting its a tad easier to get a beer than it usually is at least.

The eastern stand has progressed from what is shown in video. Pre fabricated concrete flooring has commenced on which seating will be installed.
