Yes seeing the big white frame up recently is promising.

Its not what everyone hoped for but its a big upgrade on facilities. I'm expecting its a tad easier to get a beer than it usually is at least.
100% and it will be awesome to watch the boys & girls go around at Panthers stadium

Is it just me, or is it steeper too?

Commbank feels steep too IMO. So I imagine something similar to that.

I count 8 stairwell exits on that eastern side. Don't recall how many our old stand had but that must be an improvement.

def will be steeper - modern stadiums are definetely built steeper to improve the view for spectators

G'day all. Did I miss something here? Wasn't the original plan to renovate one stand and build a new ( slightly mismatched ) one?
Last footage I saw, the whole joint had been flattened with framework for the eastern side commencing. Does this affect the budget and timeline?

Still on track to be finished late 2026/early 2027
I believe it is on track for completion late 2026.

The main deck of the eastern stand appears complete as of today. Just the concrete base no seats installed on anything. The lower all access seating has not substantially started but shouldn’t be far off.

The framework western stand at Paceway end has commenced.

I think someone here asked previously what the concrete structure on the western side was?

The structure is the lift shafts. It is located at the northern or Paceway end. Not sure whether there will be a similar lift access on the southern end. Hopefully there will be.

Real missed opportunity in the end but at least we got something I guess
I had half a dozen schooners in the Paceway this afternoon. It was busy, probably a dozen other patrons. Sad really.

My personal view is acquiring the Paceway site and building an all seater 35000 capacity stadium was what should have happened, but once the libs got voted out those dreams were done and dusted. The Paceway stadium was a 700M project and sadly was never going to come to fruition once Stuart Ayres lost his seat .

I think the biggest loser is the Paceway. It is doomed long term.

No update from the YouTube bloke yet.

Can I be arsed driving past the stadium to take a look? Probably not. Unless I'm treating my friends to Rashay's.

I'll do the commbank trek. At least 4-5 games this year guaranteed to see. But we really need our stadium back.
