Resting 16 players is a joke and unacceptable with a final at Commbank still possible and 4th still a slim chance (no longer!)
On another point, 10 losses it will almost certainly now be at least for the season with that lineup, and I consider that a very disappointing record. The most losses in the 5 GF years had been 7 in '24.
The only way to justify this resting would be if we go on to at least make the PF or GF.

I think this team can get it done in the business end and we have the runs on the board and experience to rest players who know how to getup for a big game

If they go on and win the comp Ivan is a genius but if they go out Week 1 then I know who to blame. Especially if Broncos knocked us out it would be a nightmare for me due to Bronco supporting parents/uncles/cousins.

Did you let Ivan know? It may have changed his decision if he knew it may cause you distress.

From an outsiders perspective, and yes it could bugger the Sharks up big time, but I don't care.
I love Ivan doing this.
If the Panthers even get close to the Dogs in the game it's a win in so many ways.
Even if they get soundly beaten it doesn't do anything for where the Dogs are, and yet it installs some sort of fear for the rest of the comp.
If you couldn't gather, I hate the Dogs. The only team in the NRL I despise.

I think that is the idea. They are already in preparation for week 1.

I think we'll wait and see who wins this week. We are a far better side than Brisbane but we probably don't want to travel up there week 1.

Well Einstein, if you finish 5 or 6 you get a home semi, 7 and 8 travel to who ever they play. So if Brisbane finish 5 and us 8, we go to Brisbane.

Not a real good idea to travel interstate for an elimination semi. Should’ve waited to see results this week, then have a chance to rest next week. Just my opinion of course.
