I am somewhat miffed that we aren't keeping Laurie. He is great value for a Top 30 squad filler. I felt that way even before his efforts this game.

In all likelihood, the time will come when Edwards will suffer a severe injury, his style of play makes it more likely even though he has shown great toughness and durability so far in his career.

What will we do in 2026 if he does his ACL in the early round? I'd feel a lot better with Laurie at fullback then say, shifting Jenkins over there or worse - shifting a kid with almost no experience into the role.

I understand backing our 2 young fullbacks but Laurie is a good player when hes on
