And he's maybe a bee's dick better than Brad at most. Both are terrible really

No. Cogger is a big improvement on Schneider. I think he'd even be a decent halfback under good coaching and in a good system (which we definitely have). Schneider would look ordinary even if surrounded by an NRL 'All-Stars' squad.

Cogger is Sexton tier.

Can atleast steer a well coached side around the field.

What you want from a backup.

Schneider has somehow gotten slower in his processing every game since he debuted for us.

Cogger is that bad that his club are paying him to come back here while going into 2026 without a 7..........that speaks volumes.

The same club that signed off on the DBro deal? I think you are reading too much into what the Knights are doing. Cogger was fine here in his last stint even without considering the media jerkathon about him being responsible for "unlocking" Nath in the GF. He can follow a game plan and kicks ok, solid back up.

Schneider cannot be our 14. Laurie can cover it surely. He looked the worst player on the field.

Dogs are so bad, its embarrassing how they destroyed their own season with the Galvin circus. Hes borderline Schneider levels.

Their line speed was really good and we got absolutely molested in the ruck every run, so Patea never got the ball with any forward momentum.

Thats why I reckon the criticism of the goat BS is over blown as well - shock me. Kicked off the back foot all game with 4 players in his face each time, unless he suddenly turned into the reincarnation of Burton, he (or any other kicker) was never going to find the sideline 40m downfield.

What an effort by all players.
Watch the game again and look at when momentum first turned against us.

First attacking set we had reasonable shape... and then Brad Schneider gets the ball and runs backwards about 10 metres and gets tackled without even looking to pass. Momentum lost in that set and we are playing off the back foot because of him. Not getting a chance to create a try

Next attacking set we had reasonable shape, and then Brad Schneider gets the ball and holds it looking to pass. An hour later he decides to pass the ball directly to a Bulldogs player who had stopped in our line and almost got bored waiting for him to pass it. From that point on we didn't get back to the Bulldogs half for another 20 minutes or so.

He kicked off the back foot all game because his kicking was so goddamn shit the Bulldogs started every single set in great field position. Finished every set off in our half and we had to work it up field. There has never been a worse kicking display in the NRL. Finding touch 10 metres down field when you're still in your own half is beyond bad. He averaged 25 metres a kick with zero grubbers.

Jack Cole averaged 35 metres a kick. Soni Luke averaged 32m a kick and both guys had a grubber. When you're kicking from your own half all game and averaging 25 metres a kick. You are the reason you are in your half all game.

Our entire pack got man handled last night. The only players with any punch in their runs were Alamoti, Geyer and maybe Huth. And that’s OK and was as expected. Let’s be real here.

True, our entire pack got man handled. Referee let the Dogs get away with murder in the ruck. But he was probably the worst - he regularly got pushed back.

What was surprising to me was how Patea also got easily manhandled. It looks like the Dogs pack targeted him heavily though he wasn't helped by our halfback who often delivered the ball to him when he was flat footed.

Out of our entire pack last night, I liked the look of Lipowicz - he looks a handy player who could do a decent job.

Biggest imposter I have ever seen in my life. How do you train with the Panthers 1st grade squad, alongside Nathan Cleary - and not develop even a mediocre kicking game? Schneiders kicking game is not even sub-par - it is diabolical.

You’re acting like that wasn’t our game plan though. We clearly valued slowing the game down by putting it out over getting 10 - 20m extra distance each kick. Every kick went directly towards the sideline - he kicked to instruction. Trying to get another 15m means it likely doesn’t go over the sideline and Kiraz runs it back.

He’s far from an elite halfback but mate you’d try and convince everyone he was in the Wuhan lab if you could.

Did you forget your glasses last night? ALL his kicks lack any sort of distance. Whether it is a bomb, a clearing kick or even a touch finder. It wasn't just last night either, it's EVERY game when he plays.

It is so obvious and noticeable that even the commentators feel obliged to mention it even though they are trying not to be too harsh.

You’ve nailed my point. He doesn’t have a big boot, and I’d take a wild guess that Ivan and the coaching team are well aware of that. Unless they thought something had suddenly changed overnight, the frustration should be with the game plan rather than his kicking game (kick out on the full aside). He played to the plan and within his limitations.
