I think this result was almost perfect for us. I didn't want to face a 5th placed Bronocs in the event we come 8th. Now we will have either the Sharks or Warriors who are both the easiest opponents for us in round 1 of the finals.

Agreed, every other club is thinking short term where is Ivan is playing the long game.

No other team had the balls to rest most of their players let alone the whole team.

Everyone in the game could see how drained the Panthers were. They wanted us to play another tough grinding match and wear them out in the hope to stop the 5 peat.

I watched that game and thought the Storm have really regressed this year. The main attacking weapon is to kick it to a)Coates or b) Katoa. They were very one dimensional and when Grant comes back he better be the best thing since the invention of flushing toilets, or they will be out in two straight games.

As for the reffing, I thought the Storm were lucky not to have a player in the bin. They were all over the Broncos like a bout of measles.

Finally, one good thing for the Storm will be if NAS gets suspended. He is a liability. If he gets in the Panther’s whirlpool with the ball in play nearly 100% of the time and intensity turned up to eleven, he just gets gassed and then the foul play starts.
