Another common sense change is ANY player in the top 30 can play up until an hour before kickoff.

I don't give a f**k what the betting companies want.

the 18th man should just be activated for any doctor ruled HIA. Injuries are a part of the game i get that, but the head injury stuff is completely knew, players werent going off for headnocks for most of the games existence. Letting the 18th play when the independent doctor calls it is just fair.

I just can't fathom how this isn't already in place. It really is common sense, the most logical and moral way to address the issue.

been stewing on this loss for far to long - gotten accustom to winning as a fan! The loss just feels scripted, like origin from a few years back when NSW would be in position to win, then gets taken away from us at the end. I think literally one play different and we would be in the GF - Cleary putting Casey over, better scramble to stop the Broncos last try. Or maybe, we were just really playing above and beyond for the latter half of the season and we really just ran out of steam. It is just so unlike us to have not closed the game out. Still, will think of the good memories from last 4-5 years and so excited for next season already. Blaze and Casey will be stronger weapons, some good time off to re-fresh our forwards, and hopefully better bench selection with more impact.

Craig Bellamy and others who tell players to stay down is the reason

I am specifically addressing a player being sidelined by the independent doctor.

The only thing that I can think of against this is that someone like a Bellamy would perhaps coach his players into acting injured and then purposely fail their HIA test?

Per my earlier thoughts.

Time limits can be used.

Player goes down early then immediate replacement.

Later in the game then you have to deal with it outside of foul play.

Currently a CAT 2 or 3 HIA is the best thing than can happen to a starting forward around the twenty five minute mark.

They get to come off for free and potentially comeback with a few minutes left in the first half.

Before Critta, Moses and Nathan went God mode in the 2023 GF the pivotal moment was Flegler going off for HIA and coming back just before half time refreshed and able to score a try.

I checked out the broncs last try @hindy111 and it seems to me that that a panther was impeded from making a clear tackle run at Walsh.

A micro second delay and that led to Walsh being able to lift the ball for the basketball from the third tackler, although the two already there weren’t so effective, although would have been if Walsh had carried the ball near his ankles.

Watch it closely, stop and start it and you can see it materialises as an illegal obstruction. I’ve done that five or six times. There’s only a few microns in it.

But the officials failed to call it.

As a result of my investigations, my official findings are that smug was stolen and by rights, the panthers should be in the grand final.

There should be a league court of appeal for these things and if the game was decided by a critical lapse of judgment from an official, the result should be overturned.

Yes but I think he runs through the line so doesn't that make it ok? Im not that up to date with these finer details of the rules.

The rule according to AI:

Figure A, the Bronco and Walshy colluding to reposition elbow for basketballer ( sorry about the chunky arrows):

IMG_0723.jpeg

The only thing the blocker didn’t do was lay a foundational slab of concrete and erect a traffic cone on his way thru.

The blocked smug doesn’t have the ball, he’s flailing around trying to make the tackle before Walshy takes full advantage of the low profile tackles.

They’ve got to look at forensic effect of the blocker play and whether or not, at a point in time, it adversely impacted the defence.

What follows after is of no consequence where the advantage is already created.

The same argument that there’s no point running backwards with arms raised from a kicker you’ve just wiped out.

The whole of the passage should be interpreted and ruled on.

The try shouldn’t have been awarded or under my system, been raised at appeal on Tuesday.

That’s my case anyway.

I can cop a fair defeat, but this was too grubby to bestow any meaningful faith that it was a level playing field.

And you won’t find a greater supporter of officials than I. It’s not corrupt, it’s just incompetent.

And a bit unfair to play it at Lang Park.

Nice bit of detective work there by Silverdale Phantom.

I am still more dirty on Blaize though, that attempted tackle was poor and then his effort to track back was even worse.
Thank you.

My ex rooster work mate made the same observation about Blaize so you’re in good company.

I’ve also been fighting off criticisms of Nate on other forums.

There’s people out there who don’t think he’s the best player in the game. No amount of uppercuts could cure this type of deranged thought.

The only saving grace of the dally ms was Foz and the NRLW contingent.

The rest of it was mostly a shitshow.

Iongi missing out was a crime. He’s natural smug without the appropriate Penrith schooling.

Warrants should have been issued and arrests should have been made while the selectors were present. March them out in handcuffs.

Young Iongi may well be an immortal.
