This one of #iONic's AI attempts I do like, I have to say.

I think the mask would be very cool and it's not copying NZ Warriors, but it does speak to it which is cool being the other island nation club we have in the NRL.

However if we wanted to not use a mask could go with a different motif, but I still think the Mask is stronger.

Diverting onto a tangent here, but could one of these new clubs possibly be the first to have an AI designed logo approved? PNG more likely than Perth, as Perth have NthSydney's bear head logo to modernise, while PNG is a new name altogether.

Of course, the designer who enlists AI will tweak it and then claim it as his own, but the real possibility is out there that it will happen one day ... possibly sooner rather than later.

I work in a branding agency, it's guaranteed to be at least partially AI generated. At least in the initial concept phase, then it'll go through stages of updates where it'll be tweaked by a designer.

Yep they will generate some thematic directions probably similar to what we've done here:
- Colour combinations
- Motif directions
- Wordmark directions

These will be a mix of collages of existing stuff out there, AI generated logos etc. Designers will still own this process but use AI and existing material to put these themes together.

Once the PNG/NRL marketing leads choose the general direction and motif, the designers will use a mix of AI and actual design to whittle it down to a few logos.

From there, the leads will pick one of them and the designers will massage it into the finished logo as well as other materials using the colours/logo like jerseys, merch etc

Well, there's your logo for you. Tribal face paint, tribal headwear, all on a football.
'PNG CHIEFS' written underneath it.

I was thinking bright orange, navy blue, and a touch of yellow, but that green-orange-yellow combination looks good.

My choice of colours was to make them different to the PNG national colours, but not too far removed.
Orange = red
D.blue = black
Yellow = yellow

I do like that green element, though. Like the foliage of the PNG forests.

Well they do say that the game of RL unifies all of the warring tribes of PNG.
