This is the worst England side to come to Australia.

Considering how England have gone in Australia the last 15 years that says a lot.
I remember that 02/03 one being really shoddy apart from Vaughan. Was comical how easy it was to win that.

Going back further than that....

Since the 1986 Boxing Day test at the MCG, England have only won 6 Ashes tests in Australia: 3 of them were during that infamous 2010/11 Ashes where the Aussies sucked, Adelaide 1995, MCG 1998 and SCG 2003.

Over that exact same period, Australia have won 23 Ashes tests in the UK.

Unless England sweep the last 3 tests Starc has got to have player of the series sewn up. Basically left to carry the can on his own and has not only done that but got us a 2-0 lead.

Since that 2010/11 Ashes, Australia won:

2013/14 Ashes: 5-0
2017/18 Ashes: 4-0 (a crap road dished out at the MCG prevented any chance of a clean sweep)
2021/22 Ashes: 4-0 (even with the amount of time lost due to bad weather at the SCG, Australia fell one wicket short of a clean sweep)

Was that infamous Nasser Hussain win the toss and bowl at the Gabba series?
Yep sure was, that was the first day of Ashes cricket I saw as well. What an introduction. Hayden/Ponting destroy them and their best bowler rips off his foot and misses the series.
