I agree that a lot of our apparent unity is the Red V jersey, it did keep us older Saints supporters engaged as it links us back to what we knew and loved. Even our mbrship / season ticket program is called Red V.That goes against what I'm saying Red sorry. Good point but it's part of our problem all this uncertainty .
We need one NRL club jersey with an equal amount of white, black and gold on it and keep that forever and forever, just like your jersey.
Your red V is the reason a lot of your members have hung in their imo.
Once kids grow up following the one brand, one logo and same colours they wont accept anything else, it won't feel normal.
It's the old diehards that are not willing to change and let go. They are stubborn.
Balmain fans like me have let go and I follow Wests.....Wests Tigers. I don't sook that we're not called Balmain.
The club is already called Wests Tigers the dumbos.
I hope all RL fans march if they can, just like we did with George Piggins.
@Nutz The reason I mentioned multiple jerseys was that the NRL make all the teams have multiple jerseys anyway. Funnily enough, I quite like the jersey that was blamed for this kerfuffle… maybe not so much the bottom blending part… just shows how little I know.
You guys also change jersey designs frequently - for the money no doubt. Thats not something we do with our main jersey - very little change to it. A new uniform provider might add a little red trim around the neck or sleeves, the V might be a little steeper or flatter but that’s about all that ever happens. We change up the “Away” jersey only. Even then I grumble when we play in it - our home jersey doesn’t clash with anyone so just wear it. Yes I’m often told I’m wrong.
Our NRLW uniform is a little different to the men’s, but easily identifiable still. But the NRL or the uniform provider stipulate so many games for each jersey. To promote merchandise sales. So there we go, wearing the away jersey at some home games as well as away.
