Wtf?!
Dunno but that’s what has been proposedDoesn’t cricket play during the trials there bruhz?
Who da f**k said that? Learn to comprehend bruhz.Tell me how comment on North Sydney fanbase alienating potential Perth fans was in anyway political?!

right wing political brains don’t concern themselves with crap like that is the point….not that it itself is political. Fmd
Fmd. Someone once told me you can’t help stupid. Looks like you’ve proven it.Oh, you're a troll. Got it.
Well for a start and as stated in another post - WA RL is far more progressed in their state league and state RL body (at the point of Perth Bears NRL entry) than what VIC RL was (at the point of Melbourne Storms NRL entry). How will bears succeed in producing players unlike Melbourne storm?!

Positivity is great but no chance Perth will produce actual nrl players in large numbersWell for a start and as stated in another post - WA RL is far more progressed in their state league and state RL body (at the point of Perth Bears NRL entry) than what VIC RL was (at the point of Melbourne Storms NRL entry).
Victoria never received a $60m+ commitment from their state government to invest into the states rugby league junior development and pathways systems (both in junior club comp and into schools) like WA has.
Resources are key to success.
Storms overall internal RL peak development years (between 2004/07 - which lead to their run of sustained success which is still maintained into today) came at a time when QLD only had 2 clubs - therefore they could attach themselves to Norths Devils and later Tigers and Falcons. There just wasn’t a need nor an appetite to tap and invest into Victorian RL because the ingredients that worked for them differed. Bears are coming in with a vastly different RL landscape.
This is where lessons learnt is an important aspect. What can Perth Bears via WA learn about its outlook forecast on their production line from what Melbourne Storm via Victoria did/didn’t do in years of lacking and failing to support their state league. This is also an overall NRL issue. The game should have done more to invest back but it just didn’t have the funds, nor the position to onboard governments to fund into the game like it has now.
It’s very much an apple vs oranges comparison here. There’s a lot of context which you have quickly brushed aside.
No one has said they’ll be producing players in large numbers. Unsure where you’ve pulled that from.Being better than zero isn’t much
Norths and qld juniors will be carrying them for a long time

Getting more wa kids playing league is great as it grows the sport and makes more fans but actually producing nrl players when you’ve got established and deep juniors in nsw and qld ?
Nth Sydney juniors imo is where the real growth will come from
That’s one reason why I wasn’t a fan of a standalone Perth team especially with the storm relying upon existing juniors in nsw and QLD to cover their failure to focus on their own for 30 yearsNo one has said they’ll be producing players in large numbers. Unsure where you’ve pulled that from.
It’s been stated ad nauseam that the ideal forecasted lookout is to potentially have a couple of players in the Top 30 at the end of a decade of franchise operations.
Plus half a dozen + prospective talented juniors littered through various grades. This is achievable.
People need to take a breather. That’s one reason why I wasn’t a fan of a standalone Perth team especially with the storm relying upon existing juniors in nsw and QLD to cover their failure to focus on their own for 30 years
At least now Perth won’t be further diluting the talent pool a lot especially if norths start ramping up their catchment area
100%. In time, as I've already mentioned, whatever happens now regarding general public opinion will be forgotten and there will be new generations coming along that have always known the Perth Bears in the WA sporting landscape. No dramas there at all. But if the Perth club can get itself off on the right foot from the very start with public perception here, it will be even better. I'm with you here. Long games take patience and I'm in it for that. The rewards at the end will be worth it.Something to consider is that a key factor will be the eventual transitioning of streamlined junior RL pathways and associated infrastructures from WA feeding directly into the Perth Bears via Bears academy and other RL centric programs based in WA.
Regardless of how many kids actually graduate from junior grades to Top 30 roster spots in the future - I think there will a great sense of “home” team (perhaps from those currently on the fence) once it’s blatantly evident that these home grown WA resources will make up percentages within the “greater” Bears club (in relation to both numbers of kids and clubs directly associated under the banner).
Norths will always be providing of course but there will be a point soon where it’ll heavily swing towards WA and honestly, that’s part of the end game.
Everything else like colours, franchise brand, records will eventually dissipate away from being specific to Norths and be fully grabbed by WA - meaning it’ll be WA’s red and black colours, WA’s Bears franchise brand and logos, and WA’s history that started in NS. Time will ensure that.
I never said it was proof, nor was I trying to prove anything. Merely commenting on what I see as I walk and drive around Perth. This isn’t proof, this is purley anecdotal.
Are they reds fans or fans of retro jerseys? Huge trend in owning jerseys of clubs that people do t support at the moment. Particularly heritage jerseys and particularly jerseys of defunct clubs.
There's nothing remotely political about me at all. Left/Right way of thinking? Nup, I'm not interested. Again, I'm just commenting from the view of a long-time WA-based League fan who wants the best for League in WA. I've worked (volunteered) for a long time with the WARL / NRLWA not just for my local club, but for the game at a wider level. I want what's best for League and I want what's best for League in WA. I've seen it at its peak and I've seen it at its lowest point, and I'm watching as it's rising again and seeing more NRL around the place. There's nothing left/right/political in my view of the Perth Bears. I love that they're here and I support them, but I'm also aware of how some decisions, either already made or yet to be discussed, could affect the club - positively or negatively.Bra….Such a democrat/left leaning political view….
Having your first team in the arl and the second in super league sure must’ve been conflictingI never said it was proof, nor was I trying to prove anything. Merely commenting on what I see as I walk and drive around Perth.
There isn't really a retro jersey vibe over here for the most part. People aren't walking around wearing old Newtown jerseys or retro Parra gear if they aren't (or weren't, in the cases of defunct teams) supporters of those teams. I wear old Newcastle jeresys, hats, ect, because they're my team. Reds were my 2nd team while they were around and in the ARL, and hence I'll wear their gear from time to time as well. Just as I suspect these other people I see around do as well.

But I suggest you're probably just stirring.
Taken you this long to figure that out? lolOh, you're a troll. Got it.

It’s good Perth are focusing on wa from day one unlike the storm and Victoria
Taken you this long to figure that out? lol
Do us all a favor, stay in Spain. You weren’t here when the Western Reds existed. Absolutely no reason for you to be while the Perth Bears exist.Taken you this long to figure that out? lol
