Hey guys I’m sure you’ll have a good year I reckon you will despite tonight’s rust. Was just gonna ask what is the status on Garner is he injured? Also Soro is he gonna be more a bench middle this season or? Also where has Ipap been training over the pre season has it just been edge or has he been training middle too? He is one I’m looking at for SuperCoach and NRL Fantasy. Do you guys see him getting back to 70mins on an edge with a big role or do you reckon he plays a similar role to last year that middle sort of role for the most part?

I dont really get the negativety on blaize, he went ok last night, set up a nice try. Only thng that concerned was the defensive play he rushed up and slipped over. Last year no doubt he went quiet after that intercept game but before then he was looking great many people here singing his praises. A drop in form at 20 doesnt make him a write off, it makes him like 99 percent of other players who make it to that level, i think you have to be a bit more forgiving of a young player then that. No doubt he needs to get back into good form but i didn't see anything last night that makes me think he wont do that and keep developing. So he didnt get creative after nathan got binned? why the hell would he in a trial? They were all coming off pretty soon into the second half anyway, you think Ivan or the trainers or Yeo were telling him to throw it around when nath went off?

Also Billy Smith is one of the cleanest passing forwards ive seen. Noticed this in the little amount ive seen him over the last few years. And im not talking about genuine ball playing here as ive not seen the vision and skill like that from him, just the skill of passing when a middle goes to line a bit then passes out the back to the half, watch him when he runs that play, he fires the cleanest pass ive ever seen from a genuine middle.

How'd lussick and Ale play?

Ale went ok, good depth. Based on last night he plays with a bit of aggression and can have some impact, but sometimes the impact will be negative.

Billy Scott goes ok, definitely an Ivan type. Good service, solid defender and looks pretty fit so far. You dont notice him cause he doesnt do anything spectacular or anything wrong.

Also Lussick and Scott were on the field together for quite a while second half. Lussick was solid, looks like a good defender, bit slow getting out of dummy half couple times.

Tago was awful, if this was a genuine trial he’d be starting the year in reserve grade.

I’d have PA and Casey in the centres with Bizza and Milky outside them.

I’m normally a big defender of Tago, but he was really poor tonight, whereas I thought PA and Milky looked quite good, especially for a trial.

Dyl looked very rusty, even caught out of position a few times.

I was happy with Mose, played pretty big minutes and looked fit.

other that, let’s hope the MRC are lind

If we can save money with that backline its a no brainer. PA and milky or Casey and Milky on one side would be a dangerous prospect.

Tago in the first half was just about the least impactful back on the field. All our backs looker better, Taylan May and young Jonah lomu looked better, not sure about the other two tigers backs as i cant evern remember them right now.

Also i like to lift weights and i know the strength and power for an nrl athlete comes from core and lower body not upper body, but tago has an empty treasure chest, he looks like hes never met a bench press.

My run down -

Edwards and Too both looked sharp and moved quickly. Last year I was thinking the downhill slide. Both looked pretty cooked and sluggish. Good sign

Blaize - Has put on about 5kgs. He went ok withhout being great. Set up a try and made meters running ball. I like he doesnt just pass for sake of it. If nothing is on he runs and makes the meters.

Lussick - Looks quick out of dummy half.

Guy that looks a bit like Blaize but a moustache? Unsure name but he looks a prospect.

Jenkins - He was superb. He offers perhaps one of the best Aerial threats in the game. Id have him top 5. But looked stronger then last season.

Alamoti - Also very good. Strong and powerful.

Tago - Bench spot soon if doesnt fire. The two above arr just much hungrier for success.

Tigers have a stud backline, very good spine and a average forward pack. Its a genuine top 8 chance.

Of the 5 Warrior players id say right now Lussick offers the most. But it did take guys like Sorenson and capewell a good 6mths of playing to come good so perhaps as season goes on that may change.
Patrick MoiMoi looks a bit of a smokie also. Strong with a good step. I can see him going pass Jesse Mclean

Milky put on 5kgs? Hopefully he can push Tago to the bench because I believe he'd thrive in that role.

There is a YouTube video of himself and Tiny doing a work out in a park. Tago rips out about 10 muscle ups. He’s super strong, j think his weakness is technique.
