Hes better than what we got this year but the year after that and however longer we have him for while paying him 900k seems like a stupid decision regardless of how much better he is now.

Just playing Devils advocate here for a minute, but possibly Brisbane was the only team Warriors approved him to go because it was Brisbane that had the most attractive player to give back. There’s more to this story than just the straight out money offer to Barnett.

No rumours were we offer 1 mil but if were willing to offer a potential 33 year old a 900k contract for 3 years then surely wed offer a forward whos just as good and much younger a couple 100k more which it sounded like we werent. Like would u rather pay 300k more for keon?

Can't say I really blame the club on this one. Offering 3 years to help get it across the line would be irresponsible.

and this is not about whether you want Barnett or not or whether you feel he weas a good fit or not it's the fact that we simply can't land a blow in the player market.

My only comment on the Barnett thing is that we were always going to be the Useful Idiots in this situation.

The actual question is, were the Club not actually the Idiots in this regard, and did it know this all along? Or were they oblivious and true Useful Idiots in every sense of the term?
