well technically it was Lomax, and you know what happened there...

and Foxx pretty much fell on our lap.

we simply don't have the ability and personel art the club to sell a dream and vision to other players...we're just incapable.
Pou says there is no problem with recruitment.

This is what happens at all clubs apparently.

Its a myth that we miss out on targets. We get as many as everyone

Anyone who says otherwise is just trolling apparently.

Or stay here, with years to run on their contracts.

The answer is resources, not just cash. We heard during the Lomax court shenanigans that more cash doesn’t help improve our top 17. Look around and you’ll see a handful of clubs are obviously paying merkins less under the cap than most clubs would have to. The question is why.

Did the Broncos accrue their premiership side because of the chance to be coached by Kevin Walters? Wayne Bennett hasn’t won anything in 16 years but he’s somehow this massive drawcard for players? If so, why couldn’t he assemble a finals squad at the Dolphins? Why was Hasler such a great coach at Manly before Penn took over, but ordinary at Penn-era Manly and everywhere else? These clubs would have to be cooking the books in one way or another. It’s the only feasible explanation.
Or Mon is incompetent and you are the only thickshit who cant see it.

Bulldogs (Galvin) and Broncos (Pezet) both came in late to get their man. It shouldn’t be a disadvantage. In negotiations, being the first to make an offer is usually a disadvantage.
It wasn't a disadvantage for those clubsand there is no evidence that it would benefit Parramatta.
My point is that it signals a lack of conviction, that can become desperation.
I am ok with missing out on players, but we need to be convicted/aligned early on who we want and who we don't.

Is it just "jobs for the boys" keeping our recruitment team in jobs?

Or is there something else afoot (for example, decent recruitment gurus steering clear of Parramatta)?

If fans can see that we struggle to attract quality players, surely the people at the club can, as well - why not do something about it?

He was just as responsible for the failure as Brad was, I amazed he also wasn’t walked out the door.

since the 2021 off season he has done his job absolutely appallingly. He had failed at every metric. Does this thickshit even have KPI’s in his contract??
Failure? We made the grand final a couple of years ago. The last time we did better than that was 1986.

Merkins were happy with our roster this time last week. In Ryles we trust ffs

I reckon we were a lot keener on Koloamatangi. The fact he went to a worse performing club shows he was chasing the money, and it’s not a bad thing to miss out in those circumstances.

Maybe we are all in on being a development club and don’t want to overpay for every recruit. There’s no point developing talent if you can’t keep them. Look at the Tigers.

I do trust Ryles - he has done a good job with the squad at his disposal, but there are glaring deficiencies therein.

Everyone with a football brain knows this.

You don't.

Mock Ryles all and Parra fans all you like (and you will), but it wont bring your bald hero and his kids back.

Not sure the resident avd persistent troll believes much of the absolute nonsense he posts as opinions. It’s just gives him the ability to keep arguing.

At the end of the day our recruitment team is unable to recruit at the level needed to move the needle. It’s not the boards fault. It’s in our own hands. In any business if the duo responsible keep underperforming compared to their peers, they are replaced. Currently at the eels they are patted on the back apparently for working hard more than getting results . Could be another long year, big hope is we push our young forwards up the NRL , unfortunately we don’t have the backs to do the same, list manager my rear end

The dribble from Badel yesterday we offered 900k was a load of shit.

The deal with the Broncos was done a week ago.

Badel & Orr Brothers are close so they milked an extra day of headlines using Parramatta as an easy pot shot to say we offered over the top money.

It was to make Brisbane look even better landing Barnett they he less financially when that may not have been the case.

And for some extra click bait.

Orr Brothers and Parra have had a falling out.

And Badel is pro brisbane.

When it comes to Parramatta anything Peter Badel writes you have to take it with a grain of salt considering he is based in Brisbane.

How many has MON now missed out on?

Keaon
Galvin
Barnett
Pezet (longer term deal)
Blaize (Couldn’t retain him)
Papali’i (lowballed him)
Sanders (Couldn’t retain him)
Brown (Lost him because he allowed him sign a stupid deal with too many options)

He’s a terrible recruitment manager. Needs to be shown the door.

That was 4 f**king years ago, his performance since the off season of 2021 has been horrific. Keep your head up Mon's datehole it's the only way you can't see what a shit job he's been doing.

Genuine question to those that know more than me about the inner workings. Isn't our recruitement manager Ben Rogers? Is he responsible for all of our recriutement & constant misses or is that soley the domain of MON as football manager? I feel like Rogers gets a free ride around here, when surely he's as culpable as anyone for our current predicamant and unbalanced squad.
