Waddell with 3 guys on him and down on 1 knee, surely that’s the tackle and not a situation where 2 drop off and the ball gets pinched.

Big shot by Saab, called high and he's in the bin. That might be it. 26-16, Roosters. Ten mins left.

...33-16, Roosters. Final. A tough, frustrating night for the home team. Daly's still getting booed after the final whistle.

Tolu Koula is still the biggest freak of an athlete in the NRL.

Wasn't aware his parents were both Olympic athletes, and he ran a 10.58 (!!!) 100m as a junior...which isn't even the fastest in his family as his old man ran 10.56.

Surely he gets a Blues jersey this year? No bigger X factor player in the comp.

The movement is effortless

Get a real coach in there and he could be anything

Jake copping an absolute hammering again this morning based off stats. He is playing how the coach wants him to play with being a link man, and Seibold doesn’t prioritise forward play, he has wingers taking early hit ups then spreading wide ASAP
That play where Collins had a 30m windup and Jake flew up leading the line and put a shot on him is what the guy is all about, incredible ticker considering his head knock issue

Yeah the movement is effortless, I watched the highlights and Joey said he's really come on this season...do people not know how incredible this guy is? Or am I over the top about him? Every time I see him I think this guy is built different, and part of me wishes he played for a team other than Manly so he'd get his dues. But he's there until 2031, so I guess instead I hope they sort their shit out

Saw an interesting pod the other day where they were talking about Brooky under Hasler, how they used to keep the grass longer and back their fitness. And left a certain part of the in-goal longer where they used to target grubbers

This is an interesting quote:

“I think I’ve invested a lot of time in the club over the last three or four years and made a lot of sacrifice with my time, but if I’m not the right person, I’m sure Scott will tell me.

That would tell me straight away this guy ain't it. Sacrifice with your time to be an NRL coach?

FMD, that quote tells you everything you need to go. Let’s remember they cherry picked this bloke after he led the broncos to a spoon as well

Saab getting 1-2 weeks for his tackle. Don’t remember him being in much trouble. Crichton gets fined every 2nd week for similar tackles

Crazy having a halftime show, and having the current Manly assistant (Foran) and a name tipped as a chance (Ennis) sitting on the panel

The Broncos are squeezing out a win over Redcliffe. When their big names play well they're a different side. Not awesome but capable of being a competition threat.

Plenty of free time now 🤣

But yeah that quote was pretty revealing. If you're not all in, it ain't the job for you. And if you're a sook, which Seibold is proven to be, you won't last long.

Welcome to NRL head coaching Keiran Foran

"Late last night, I received a call from Scott and Jason and at the end of the day it's not in my nature to say no. There hasn't been a challenge I haven't walked towards in my career.

"I know there will be plenty of people that would say there's no chance. I'm ready to take control of this team but I believe in myself, and my standards and values and if the club asks me because they think I'm the best person to step into the role, I'm going to take it on."

Foran was asked if was ready to coach NRL.

"I don't know if you're ever ready for anything to be honest. I played 318 NRL games and at the end of the day I walked into a final at the end of my Test career and didn't know which way it was going to go.

"I love this club and I've been asked to step into the interim coach role and that's what I'm going to do.

"I was shocked. My first response was 'are you sure, are you comfortable with the decision?' and the words from Scott and Jason were 'yes we are'. I'm extremely grateful."

Manly CEO Jason King said Foran is "the right person for the job."

"In terms of a longer plan, it's early days. We're focused on supporting Kieran as best as we can then think about an appropriate process to go through to think more broadly beyond 2026."

C'mon Newy! 20-12, eighteen mins left. Let's hope the ref doesn't bring the Dogs home. As I write that it's a penalty to them...

...Knights had the chance to put the game to bed but Gagai dropped it.
...Dom Young intercepts and runs 70m! A week is a long time in rugby league, as we know.
A hat-trick for him today, 24-12, Knights. Seven mins left. That was a crucial conversion miss by Smith.

...Newcastle win, 24-16. A big, spirited upset.
