Real fans should be attending games to support their team regardless of which stadium the game is played at. There is no reason a public holiday game between two traditional Sydney rivals shouldn't be getting 40k+.
Sydney isn't really like Melbourne. Fans don't go to away games at the same rate as they do home games.

It is what it is.

When Games are on in Sydney between 2 Sydney Clubs, do Fans from the supposed 'Away' team travel by say Coach, Train, Car etc or is it just 'Away' Fans that live locally that go along with their Colours. In the UK i remember going to my Clubs home ground and sometimes been outnumbered by the Away Fans, seeing Coaches galore parked up etc, i know Sydney is a big City, but not sure how they travel, i would imaging some do travel in bigger numbers than others.

What would be the shortest travel and longest, thinking somewhere like Penrith to Manley would be a long trip but not sure Geographically who are the nearest neighbours, suburb to suburb.

This is Sydney rugby league fans you’re talking about. A more pathetic pack of slobs you’ve never seen.

Can I ask, why in the world would they hold the eels v tigers at comm bank when they will get double at ANZ? Is,nt this the exact game anz should be used for?
Last time this game was at ANZ it pulled about 30k (2023 - round 6. Parramatta were 1-4 off a grand final appearance, Tigers 0-5 off a spoon).

It’s a guaranteed sell out a CommBank and seems to have found a home there. The Easter Show walk up doesn’t seem to match the Good Friday game unfortunately.

No these two will end up like the big afl clubs, 0arra, doggies and tigpies. Need to be played at anz. Certain others games for different clubs need consideration.

Tigers have been dogshit for what feels like decades and Parra haven’t been all that much better. If either or both teams put together even a decent amount of form this matchup will easily eclipse 30K.

Having said that a sold out commbank looks amazing and is kinda hard to complain about.

I'll take 30000 empty seats at Accor , then 29000 full ones at Commbank any day
