Any team sport that's not NFL/NCAA/NBA/MLB/NHL is extremely niche in the US. NRL and AFL games are middle of the night filler content for them.

Neither the NRL or AFL is going to rate well over there. Not sure what the point of the post was other than trying to antagonise League supporters.

Whats the point of having a ratings thread if I only post the ones you like? They wont all go your way.

Ive always said I will post whatever data I can find. US is one of those ones we had for a few years and then lost, and now we have back. I can only wish the same for NZ one day.

Just noting FTA game last night was Broncos vs Dolphins. Not NZ vs Tigers.

That makes more sense. Guess I sometimes forget because I don’t watch FTA anymore.

The US results are meaningless, whether it’s 2k, 10k or 20k the numbers are tiny as tiny can be for a country of 300m. It just shows that being on fs2 is not going to draw any meaningful viewers it’s just filler content.

i wouldn’t go drawing conclusions because some afl games drew higher than nrl games it means anything more than bum f**k all.

Does this BVOD figure include Paramount+ ? If so that is a woeful result for the round ball code.

I'm a fan of both AFL and NRL. Both are popular and successful leagues, not everything has to be a dick measuring contest.

Now in terms of Australian fta/bvod figures it just shows nrl is accelerating its lead over afl this year.

9NOW is a stronger streaming platform than 7+. Its nightly BVOD results for MAFS blow everything else out of the water so I'm not surprised this leads to improved NRL figures.

If he stuck to posting the data and having the occasional opinion instead of getting wound up or making snide comments at other people having an opinion on that data he would find most people wouldn't have an issue with him. He does stupid comparisons like comparing week one afl to week two nrl

Never included pacific cup or even origin when it suited him about talking about total ratings to make afl look better

He accused Andrew abdo about lieing about the nz tv numbers too lol

I just don’t trust his conclusions

Since I found Ritchie it was like striking gold

Plus he was spot on about total ratings data too guy knows his stuff
