I think much like with Galvin, the eels would have been a better fit to Keaon for his career, but all he saw was $$$ and fluff.

the dragons don’t need another forward, they actually have bloody good young guys getting experience in the team now - but they have no one to lead them around the park or create - something forwards need to excel.

Galvin isn’t a 7 and never will be - which is why the dogs move never made sense for his career, and why the dogs are faulting after going all in. Him alongside Mitch would have made him 100x the player he’ll ever be trying to be a 7.

Do we entertain the thought of signing Galvin if Dogs want to move him on, should that happen say at seasons end, or even earlier ?

Gus doesnt appear to be the patient type...

I would, but it would be less money than the last offer….

I dont think our R&R will entertain going back there after being burnt last year.

I dont think we were happy how we got played by Galvin and his camp we wont even ask the question i suspect.

Given how much both our coach and captain waxed lyrical about him, I think if the was an in, we’d would still explore it

Galvin won't make Origin level - or if he does it will be on the back of hype for a game or two or failure, and then banished.

Wouldn't be making him another offer, whenever Bulldogs come to their senses and try to move him on.

So last yr when we missed out on Galvin we were offered Sandon Smith by the Roosters. We said no as apparently the coaching staff were not so keen on him. My words to the very senior person at the Eels who told me were we are mad, hes a gun...
Id have Sandon Smith any day of the week.
Can play and play 6,7 or 9.
Can't believe we said no when Roosters were also going to pay freight for him. Coaching staff said they were happy with the 6's coming through and we would remain patient. Wanted to say hold my beer, 1986 is calling
Yet we went and signed peasant

Sandon Smith could be on huge money. He's certainly not worth more than about $600k

Thats the thing that has been sold to us, some golden lads coming through, and be patient

Im happy be patient till 2028.. if we were guaranteed for some great sustained success thereafter

But of course there is the other side of the coin that could fall, that we are very familiar with last 40 years....

Think Ryles needs a good crack, we cant finish lower than last year (I dont think we will)
