Round 6 versus Bulldogs

Girds has it right though.

Its not exactly a talent on show. Tracey just runs the ball back with gusto. He makes yards more than any other fullback in the comp. Even our own Dylan.

Take that away from the Dogs and they can't even get in the game. They'll be camped with only Burton's boot to save them. That is the next target. Cleary got a charge down against them last year I'll back him to do it again.

I am not saying he is, just we combat fullbacks well.
We even seem to now give away 6 agains when the attack gets past the 20m line.

A fullback can do nothing when we put those high kicks in and hit them as they land.

We make fat ass Latrell run to take him out of the game, It is different with Tracey but if we are kicking to him on the full. Hitting him as he lands it nullifies his play

Remember Dogs play like us of 2 years ago.

I'm still wondering about their 17 this week.

Xerri back? They need centre cover with Crichton done. But I have a feeling they'll do a full blow up and move Burton over there. The losses to start the year is just heaping on the pressure and they will look for a solution.

Xerri only played in the 19 because Sua needed NSW Cup game time.

I hope they play Xerri because Galvin is one 7 that Schneider might actually be better than.

Galvin
O'Sullivan is a better balanced halves pairing

They're absolutely nowhere right now.

The Dogs have been extremely unimpressive to start 2026. Along with the Raiders they've gone backwards.

We have now proved our point so its time to take the foot off the peddle a bit, can't redline all year.
Score will be something like 36-6

Not too worried about blowing them away but I think letting them in more than once would be below par. Theyre a rabble with the ball.

The Gus affect in action.

This is the stage of a club development that the team plateaus or goes backwards.

They were running 1st and felt a mid season change of half of their spine was the way to improve the side.

Galvin is a bum
Hayward is a bum
Tracey is a worker
Burton is a centre

That spine is on the podium as the worst in the comp

I don't think Galvin's a bum, but the Dogs are certainly turning him into one. Not sure its the worst spine in the comp but its unquestionably the most poorly utilised.

They got away with it last year because they could tackle. Its alarming that side of their game has vanished.

Moving Crichton to the left and dropping Xerri was certainly a move as well. I can't believe they still have Montoya in first grade.

Galvin isn't a bum he's just a 6. Gus himself said Galvin had never played 7 before and they persisted for some reason.

Overall its just you need pick a spine and stick with it. If you have players at the club that you want in the spine then just put them there dont f**k around moving them mid game.

Poorly coached. Ciraldo good on the defensive side of the ball but doesn’t seem to develop cohesion or confidence with the ball.

I haven’t been to Homebush for 20+ years for the footy, but taking the train was always quite easy and quick.

Transport options are fine.

Its just soulless. Total opposite of commbank which is great even with a small crowd.

Galvin isn't a bum. He is a rookie six being asked to play lead halfback. He is only 20.
A natural left side player being played on the right

He has been overhyped.Which hasn't helped.

Best thing for him would be a simplified game outside an experienced 7. Let him grow into the role.
Like we are doing with Blaize.

He literally had the choice to develop next to an experienced NRL half for another season and a half.

Chose to playout negotiations for a contract starting in 2027 in the media instead.

While young, he and his advisors brought the scrutiny on themselves.
