Which is why I don’t understand the philosophy around here

We are a development club yes , we always will be.

But if you don’t augment the areas where we can’t develop, then we have players that are in for very rude shocks when they hit cup, and NRL level

Thats because people are not accountable at this club..

The last person that was got fires 2 seasons ago now... But the other staff just got away Scott free

There’s a no responsibility clause obviously in the KPIs of the R&R team , couldn’t be a lack of interest from the CEO and Board surely

It's absolutely how it works. There aren't enough kids with NRL potential to fill 17 SG Ball teams. You might get three probables, another six possibles, and the rest of them are just making up the numbers. This is the way it's always been.

No its not you dont just sign kids in your rep teams to make up the numbers...

You sign up the best kids and give each and every one the tools to make it.

Your way is just hey we have 3 guys the rest of you guys suck but you know dont f**k up and make the 3 good players development go to shit..

Mate you're living in fantasy land. Do you have any idea how few SG Ball players end up in first grade?

When Joey Grima ran Junior reps the first meeting of everyone (players, coaches, parents) for that season he would say "How many of you think you can play NRL?"

Everyone's hand would go up, Joey would tell them the stats that out of that room, maybe one or two would and challenged them, "Will it be you?" to get the best out of them.

These kids come into a reps program as the best player in their side, when they come up against kids of the same calibre it is those that have the drive and determination that kick on.
