At the Storm? Yeah, I don’t recall that. We’re talking specifically about Storm assistant coaches—not just any random assistant, like the resident troll f**kwit tried to twist it into to derail yet another f**king discussion.

Haha sorry saw Barrett.

Serious question - If we don’t acquire another point until the bye round in round 12 which would equate to 7 losses in a row do we sack the coach? I literally cannot see another win until then. This is how bad we have played this season. Feels so much like 2018. Even 2011 under Kearney before he quit.

There is absolutely zero chance Ryles is sacked before mid-2027, and nor should there be.

Whilst he no doubt has to take responsibility for the poor defensive structures and players commitment - he certainly isn't responsible for us missing 7 players who would be in our top 17 every other week.

He's only 1 season into his coaching career.

I think we'd be stupid to even consider sacking him before the end of 2027.

If we sack the coach before the CEO and HOF that will do me...

Can you honestly sack a coach with 14 players unavailable for selection?

Well the question has to be asked about our Fitness.

Moses commented on our poor starts in games during the presser. Anyone with brain on could see they were gassed 17 minutes in on a mild Autumn's day on their home deck.

I won't say they are not fit but I will say that they appear to be the least fit of the NRL clubs.

Whom ever deals with Fitness should be on Notice as with the person that hired them.

If it is Ryles, that is 2 years on poor fitness, Last year our back end of the year surge came though lack of meaningful injuries and consistent football meaning game fitness.

I was concerned from the outset it would be another SK and had serious doubts. Dont think we are the type of club that should be hiring rookie/inexperienced coaches

Particularly moving on senior guys who were performing , who IMO deserved a revamped (reduced rate) extension for a couple of years to help the rebuild. But they were clearly not wanted.

As it turns out (well it looked that way) we saved a lot of coin moving them on, but still cant replace them with the same quality , and are further down on leadership, bigger issue now

Back end of last year, and that Eels form in February at Kellyville this year, I was sold on Ryles. Maybe prematurely?? , as Ive always thought mid 2026 would be a good indicator how we are improving, Fitness should be better and better

Ill revert back to judgement till mid 2026. The injuries have been a nightmare, but also is the way we have been losing. Id like to think we can tun it around, and need some patience (for now) but we also cant keep going for weeks on end till seasons end, getting easily beaten weekly

Something less talked about is Moses form , been well below.
One small example - vs Titans, kicks out on the full, plus also an easy missed tackle. Both events led to early tries.
We would mercifully bag Pezet if he did those things, We should expect better from our marquee player.
I dont think any of us expect him to be 10 from 10 every game, But he should be nailing the basics 10 out of 10. Some of his passing in previous games this year is very average at best..
Needs to lead by example, not by mouth

Its a great point. During the coverage on Fox on Sunday they were saying after about 7 mins, that Parra looked gassed. I remember thinking surely not the game's just started. But then I had a good look & yep, they looked like they were still in golden point against the tigers. Fitness is a massive issue this year it seems.

As i eluded to yday we need an experienced coach but we also need the right "footy" people not just corporate governance officianados.
If the club wants to be 100% clean with corporate governance and that's the end goal without caring about winning premierships then they should let their stakeholders know.
The problem with this is that support in terms of memberships and sponsorships will fall off a cliff..
Let us know why we exist because mediocrity should not be an option for existence

I reckon the brutality of Mondays game took a massive toll.
We never do seem to be the fittest team though

Our forwards were gassed after seven minutes, we’d only had to defend three sets by that point. No one had made over five tackles in the game yet they were taking till tackle 4 to be back behind the ball. There is massive issues with our fitness.
