You wouldn't have thought so by the posters on this thread. There are literally millions of people that are in the Venn diagram of being an AFL/NRL fan. You and I both in that. And, shock horror, some fans who love both AFL and NRL...
There are some NRL fans who like cricket, formula 1, too. Maybe they cancel over the winter. Maybe they forget to and keep paying $30 or $45 for something they don't touch either way.
FTA games in America? On CBS? I very much doubt they'd be able to monetise this.I'd love to see Paramount get the rights on the basis that they show FTA games in America.
It wouldn't be primetime games. More so the late night games. But imagine if Paramount offered that to the NRL to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.FTA games in America? On CBS? I very much doubt they'd be able to monetise this.
Unfortunately oldies aren’t a sustainable business model anymore…Oldies like me still read the paper …if I didn’t glance at the odd headline or look at the table every once in awhile …I would literally have zero exposure to the AFL
Yes they are. Most AFL people that grew up in those areas have not lived in Sydney and Brisbane like I have. Whenever I'm flicking on Fox League and for whatever reason there's highlights of Darius Boyd's footwork it still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and brings me back to my younger days. And that was in a packed Suncorp where the crowd would go ballistic.Well ..I can assure you that most AFL fans would feel differently…. I think a lot of the ones living in WA, SA and VIC wouldn’t agree with you, and are very ignorant of the popularity of the NRL …
I still think it’s not a given they get more …I think it will be close
Now we know you’re full of shit.Whenever I'm flicking on Fox League and for whatever reason there's highlights of Darius Boyd's footwork it still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and brings me back to my younger days. And that was in a packed Suncorp where the crowd would go ballistic.
I haven't closely followed NRL for several years. I no longer live in Sydney or Brisbane mate. I might not get my references perfect to what I remember watching Do you want me to ring up my parents and see if I've kept any ticket stubs in storage from Broncos games I went to for you to believe me?Now we know you’re full of shit.
LMAO. TV ratings in the states prove this is bullshit. Outside of event games, AFL get nothing in NSW/QLD and the NRL get nothing in the wasteland states. The crossover would be in the tens of thousands. You wouldn't have thought so by the posters on this thread. There are literally millions of people that are in the Venn diagram of being an AFL/NRL fan. You and I both in that.
Do you feel threatened by people who have opinions and perspectives that aren't identical to your own?Stop feeding the trolls. Pretending to be an insider is a new low for these trolls. Now this thread is just pages and pages of this bullshit.
You don't think that there are millions of AFL/NRL fans among Melbourne & Sydney specifically (which is literally 11 million people), not to mention the accumulation of the population of places like Wagga, where it's actually normal to be a fan of both sports?LMAO. TV ratings in the states prove this is bullshit. Outside of event games, AFL get nothing in NSW/QLD and the NRL get nothing in the wasteland states. The crossover would be in the tens of thousands.
Most of your claims have been blown out so for someone in "the data business" you must be shit at your job.
Repeating this over and over again isn't going to make it come true.Outside of event games, AFL get nothing in NSW/QLD and the NRL get nothing in the wasteland states.
Like you saying you are an nrl fan?Repeating this over and over again isn't going to make it come true.
When are we going to get a sequel to Super Mario Odyssey? If you have any more questions for my uncle who works at Nintendo, feel free to ask.
I already have an advanced copy. It's awesome. When are we going to get a sequel to Super Mario Odyssey?
Which is to be expected. Kayo have Super Saturdays etc. For NRL fans outside of Sydney which might include the team that they want to watch. Kayo can't sell Super Saturdays to AFL fans outside of Melbourne, because they might be interested in only watching their local team and might not stay watching at coverage rolls into the next game.Kayo AFL coverage was 158000 that year. He also told me that the average viewership for NRL coverage was 200000.
