Matty Parsons was listed for years as 200cm and 120kg, but in his last year when he couldn't train because of his back injury he played a few games at 135kg i'm told - and he was well over 120kg for his last 4 or 5 years.

Willie has always been listed 195cm, which I don't understand as he definitely looks taller compared to other guys listed 190cm plus

Greg Inglis is listed 195cm and he'd be lucky to reach Willie's eyeline imo

For mine Willie is a solid 198cm or more, but he isn't listed it. If you look at the Roosters team photo this year he completely towers everyone, including other guys listed over 190cm

Tallest backs- Folau and Inglis (listed) but Folau is definitely taller imo, and Simon Mannering is listed 190cm but is more 193-195cm and imo when he plays centre would be next tallest after Folau

lol bullsh*t. Mason definitely looks a strong 195cm+ when you compare his listed height to the listed heights of other fellow players. Next to other guys listed a similar height, he pretty much always looks taller.

I know exactly what you mean about *true* heights, and the fact that people generally exaggerate their height (listing it in shoes or boots, etc) but I think Willie is a poor example. e.g. Willie always looked clearly taller than Sonny Bill, listed 191cm (but another who gives the impression of being taller than his listing)- you can tell because Willie and SBW spent a lot of time standing around each other, of course. SBW is also taller than 191cm listed Jerry Collins, and I've met Jerry Collins who is indeed a *true* 190cm or so.

On the other hand, 175cm listed Lance Hohaia is maybe 170cm.

People are often very poor at guessing the height of people they meet, even when they look someone in the eye. I worked with a guy for a year who thought he was taller than me when I've got 2 inches on him, and we were standing face to face when having the conversation. That kind of thing happens all the time.

I'd take the hundreds of photos and hours of footage I have seen of Mason (as well as posed photos like team photos where everyone is standing straight and on the same level) over your eyewitness sighting any day.

If Mason is less than 191cm you'd have to take about 3 inches off every player and whaddya know, they're actually all midgets!!

It wasnt a "sighting" butterfingers. I have actually socialised and conversed with the bloke on more than a number of occasions, and have actually talked to him about the pitfalls of being tall. So you take your hundreds of hours of footage, and your team photos and continue to fantasise that this puts you in a good position to guage someones height. Cause it doesnt.

For the record I am exactly the same height as Keithy Galloway. Im not going to go into how I know this, cause its weird, but I know im taller than Mason. Allright. And I know my own height. Anyway, back to your hours of footage son. This is a stupid conversation.
