What a sh*tty weekend. Kicks off with my Knights losing and my co-worker/best mate leaving the country. Kick on to Seoul for my friend's huge 25th party, but nothing seems to go as planned.
Get in and have to fork out $40 for a shirt that took three hours to find (Koreans don't do non fitted shirts) so I could get into the Hyatt. Dinner was ok, but the crazy cheerleader was rorted before it started and spent the entire time asking me why I didn't love her.
Kicked on to the Hyatt ($15 a beer and $25 a cocktail) where the birthday girl and my mate had argument #313 and abandoned everybody. The cheerleader disappeared and kept sending enigmatic texts or calling to ask 'Why haven't you kissed me?'.
We finally abandon the Hyatt and head to Monkey Beach, which has $12 for a bucket (a literal kid's sand bucket) full of spirits, $60 bottles of Jaegar, and $2 coronas. I'm in no mood to party. The birthday girl and my mate continue to fight, the birthday girl's best friend has a fight with her guy pal, another girl gets the only other guys there fighting because she's been dating both of them on the quiet, and then the birthday girl has her purse, phone, and camera stolen (as well as my mate's camera and her friend's phone and purse).
I go home at 2am with 7 shots of jaegar in my belly and nothing to do, watch The Simpsons until my ex-girlfriend calls at 4am, and then get woken again at 6.30 by the cheerleader asking if she can come around to cuddle.
I was supposed to spend my day here, but f**k that. I booked the first train back to Gwangju and now I have to kill ninety minutes in the KTX terminal.
Thank f**k the Socceroos did me proud.
