So - nearly twice as many people tuned in to watch a delayed Australia vs England Rugby League match on sunday night as opposed to watching Rugby Union Live Australia vs NZ on a saturday night..

Not a bad result..

A pretty good result last night all things considered.

Also it outdid the International Rules easily.

End of the day.

The game was not shown live in to any state in Australia.

The game was on close to midnight or past midnight in MELBOURNE ,ADELAIDE and PERTH. If it was on in primetime in all 5 states you would have seen a different story.

Excellent result seeing the timeslots.

Once again Channel Nine should be shot. What are they doing to our game.

WRONG, RL administrators should be shot! Ch9 do what's best for CH9, and rightly so as a business, it's the RLIF (and NRL for other times) jobs to make sure that games are live across the country. Until we get some administrators with a set we are stuffed. Stop blaming 9 and blame the guilty party!

banzai the game was shown at 10.30pm in SA and WA.

Yes I agree the NRL and IRLF need to man up.

However Ch9 consistently push the NRL around. Melbourne get screwed over everytime they have a game.

Least the Ch10 get live games for their away games. The Swans rate poorly and get beaten consistently by rivals but CH10 are forced to support the AFL in none AFL states. This is not happening with League and Ch9.

Why?

Bad contracting. There all in bed with each other on what can be done and what can't be done. The contract should have a clause in it for constant review.

Exactly, Ch9's responsibility is to do what's best for Ch9. The NRL's is to do whats best for RL. Which one is failing in their duties would you say?

One of the interesting things about this world cup is that the television ratings in victoria seem to be closing in on the ratings in Qld. I think that the Victorian ratings have been a big success and shows huge potential.

Colin Love and channel 9 deserve those ratings for what they have done to this tournament.

Big Pond has done me fine for the channel 9 games thus far and will continue to be the case.

We all the know that RL internationals rate well (501k for the May 9 Test v NZ is proof of this). But start f**king people around and watch the numbers drop.

what was 501k? wasn't it a lot more nationwide?
