As the dust settles on tonight’s performance i guess if nothing else looking at the live ladder makes things a little easier to come to terms with it.

We're lucky the game was played in Qld. Can you imagine today's composure and attention to detail in this weather?

His forward offload was f**king idiotic.

Needed to just complete the set and he goes full derp

Yeah, our entire team had derp moments in the 2nd half. Kenny misreads in defence and terrible passes out of dummy half.

Edwards was at times abysmal in contesting bombs.

Nathan completed derped numerous overlap opportunities and 2 relatively easy regular 1 point field goal attempts.

Paps gave away dumb penalties and wasted our review. His 'knock on' swung the game heavily against us.

Leota had his customary once a game knock on at a critical time.

The list really is almost endless, the only players who were relatively faultless in that 2nd half were To'o, Jenkins, Casey and Garner.

Blaize didn’t do much wrong either. That whole edge was terrific

I know things aren’t great when my wife drops the f bomb so in that second half when I heard probably half a dozen it just reinforced how bad we were.

Im never one to single out individuals I just don’t think it achieves anything, because for the most part we pick on the usual suspects for criticism whether justified or otherwise.

we got the win, a crucial two points in the scheme of things and hopefully learn from what was not a good 35 minutes of the second half.

Yeah, that Kenny, Marto, Cleary, Tago edge was a huge concern again.

I knew we were due a wake up call, and for whatever reason Titans usually put up a good fight against us. Even though that was a highly unsatisfying 'win', I am hoping the team treats it as a loss and learns from it whilst thankfully banking 2 points.

This decision annoys me no end. Not just this one in isolation but generally, he is getting to his feet, attempting to get a quick play the ball and the defender comes from not being in a marker position, gets his foot in the ruck effectively kicking the ball out of the hands of Paps who is just trying to play the ball. Honestly this does my head in, the on field ref says Paps hasn’t got to his feet, well he had got to his feet he just wasnt in a fully upright position, so what, you don’t ever have to be 100% upright in order to effect a play the ball. IMO we should have been awarded with a penalty for that incident100%.

I 100% agree with you, but the players should know how this is being officiated this year. In that context, it was a risky play and it sparked a near disastrous set of events.

In this instance it really was an atrocious call by the referee.

If the defender is in the correct marker position, standing directly in front of the attacker playing the ball i Can understand it 2h3n the ball comes into contact with the foot oright leg I’ll cop it.

This was not the case here Paps did nothing wrong, the defender was not square, he came from behind Paps and his foot knocked the ball out.

We fully deserved a penalty, instead as you rightly point out it was a massive momentum changer, wrongly so.

The only saving grace regarding the officiating is that both Liam Kennedy and Kasey Badger will be well into their Bali holidays when September rolls around.

Terrible performance all round, and both teams will have a dozen incorrect decisions to get clarified with Annesley during the week.

That’s constantly been called a lost ball this year. He wasn’t on both feet. It’s a stupid interpretation but that’s what it is this year. We also got some good calls on knock ons including at least one to Edwards and the Garner one which normally gets called back.

Anyway, they had a million sets and 50/50 6 agains before their first try, then an intercept into the Tago sin bin which was maybe the right call but pretty like ball. Things snowballed and we didn’t handle it great.

Nice to see the side has enough juice to pull out some monster plays when needed though.

He wasn't yet on his feet but the ball wasn't yet on the ground. If the ball was on the ground an he was still on his knee they could have pinged him for it.
