He can on teh 5th day where the pitch has cracked up and allows for uneven bounce. I'd rather an accurate bowler on the 4th/5th day to exploit the crack marks..imo Hauritz is not bad.

In 3 tests he has 13 wickets at an average of 25 with an economy rate of 2.8

Krejza's economy rate is well over 5 an over.

Yet you would rather Krezja who will go for 400 runs in 2 innings..fact is our batsman are not in form and we can't give runs away. Krejza bowls 2-3 "four balls" an over. Too expensive at the moment. If our batsmen were regularly getting 400-500 plus, you may have a point.

4th or 5th day we will bowl on one of those days. Hauritz can exploit natural variation in the pitch. His test record is good.

if Aus lose the toss anf Ponting bowls Hauritz then the Saffers will win by an innings. Aus won't be bowling on the 4th or 5h day

Tell me what is wrong with Hauritz's test record, average of 25 and an economy rate of 2.8. Fact is he is no Warne, but neither is the pie chucker Krejza either who goes at 5.2 an over in test cricket

I love Matty Hayden but i think players need to be aware when their time is up! We had the perfect chance to carry on our winning ways by blooding players years ago. Many senior players in the domestic game were ready years ago and their time has past. Haddin, Hussy, Stuart Clarke made their debuts either late 20's or early 30's. We dont need alrounders we need strike bowlers to take wickets...love to hear from others!!!!

Most people would agree with your thoughts. However I will say this, it is not the NRL or AFL where you "blood" youth. Cricket is vastly different and you pick your best side regardless of age.

I don't think Hayden is in our best side NOW. He should have retired in Brisbane. As for Hauritz, I said if McGain was fit then he'd be in my side as the spinner not Hauritz. But until he is fit I'd rather go for a containing spinner

We do not want to cheapen the baggy green. Players have to earn test caps. Test cricket is not for blooding players, you can use ODI's for that
