The executive producer of ACA is Grant Williams.
It would be could if the sleuths here can dig up some dirt on this bloke.

im very pleased at this news, believe you me, my eyes lit up like dinner plates when i read he'd quit, and i love reading the EA's, El Diablo's and Madunit's opinions on this.
Believe you me, just watch these kids go....

On a serious note, good on him for telling them to get farked and sticking up for his family. I now have an ounce of respect for him

I'm happy on 2 counts:
1) I don't have to listen to ikin
2) This is a nice message to the press in general about cause and effect. Of course at face value ikin is the big loser but nice to see a bloke stick up for himself and his family.

I am praying for a story on the ex Townsville coaching guru who now plies his trade in Sydney's inner west. A made up (or even better) truthful story on some sort of nudist colony on magnetic island forcing the great man to walk to FNQ and seek a hermit's existence would be nice

Here here...

Cannot believe a company would stitch up their own employee and leverage his (minor) celebrity to do a hatchet story for cheap ratings.

Dont like Ikin as a commentator, but good on him for standing up for himself. Who'd want to be a media personality after your playing days? Seems like you're going to be under scrutiny for life.

Players should now think of going into something else away from the game, and that I guess overall is a shame.

I am pretty impressed to see Ikin tell nine to get f**ked. Even more impressed that I don't have to listen to his dribble tonight. I don't think they need to replace him with anyone either. He says f**k all and what little he does say hardly needs to be said anyway.

I’m not a big fan of Ben Ikin’s commentary. Not sure why they would want a run a story like this on State of Origin night. Then again, they have turned their nightly sports report into a gossip segment with Danny Weedler,

It would even be worse if he was chatting about his Dad's situation in the office, and one of the reporters decided to run with the story.

he should have stayed on and made a few sly comments about ACA.

"here's michael weyman hitting the ball up, thighs as big as Tracy Grimshaws" etc.

Thats fantastic news about Ikin, he was the poorest commentator going around.
I personally don't care about the reason, its just made me even more excited to be watching SOO

Well done Channel 9 for trying to further devalue RL for the next broadcast deal. Fine effort.

"State of Origin" scandal.

Pathetic.

everyone here cheering that ikin has quit his job is seriously missing the bigger picture here....
