The City itself (Manhattan mostly) is a pretty sh*tty place to live tbh but out in Brooklyn or Queens it is a whole other story. When I was there I was staying in a converted Brownstone in West Brooklyn and had some of the best, and frendliest, neighbours you could imagine.

Like you posted before, NYC has a soul, ya just gotta look a little harder to find it.

oh yeh the locals we've met in Brooklyn are lovely and we got our hair done in Queens and the hairdressers were adorable and sweet. i think i just prefer the south more.

but then i don't even like the city in Sydney all that much, i could never live in an apartment or in the inner city i would lose my damn mind.

we leave today and i haven't even started to pack. intern john john needs to be here to do it for me pls.
