how did we all of a sudden end up in this position. where we down on confidence, down on fitness and strength due to a long intensive season, no passion or hunger, we were getting to easy to read in attack or did we give up after the pressure was released on the team with bennett stating we have achieved enough already this season. And when bennett said we wont change our style of play it looked like it didnt work. No new plays were introduced, we just had the same attack style that wasnt working in the latter half of the season. what are your thoughts on what was our downfall?

We lost, then we lost, then we lost again, then we won, then we lost and then finally we lost.

Thinking that you can win a finals series by playing the most unimaginative and negative brand of football possible. Lack of attacking players in the backline and the fowards who offer some creativity having it coached out of them. We are a team of logs.

Not sure I agree. I thought we tried to throw it around when we should have done the hard yards. We turned over FAR too much possession and that killed us. Our handling was shocking.

When we dominated the competition Poore and Weyman were absolutely menacing. Towards the end of the season teams had the game plan to really try and nullify this and unfortunately were successful. Teams really wanted to come in and bash them. This directly affected Soward's game as did not have as much space as he did earlier in the year.

That's a really good point ghostface. Weyman was never the same after his round 23 concussion against the Canberra. Poore tried hard, but Brisbane had 3 players ready to bash him on every tackle. Creagh was heavily marked by a routinely offside defensive line and Smith was still not 100% fit.

What went wrong:

- Silly errors
- Lack of imagination in attack
- Poor decision making in defense

We were outplayed today but have had a good season overall...

That's pretty much how I saw it. It's been happening since the Canberra game, St Georges game plan relies a lot on their forwards dominating but they've been getting smashed for the last month and a half.

Nope we had Parra completely dominated for the first 20 mins but couldn't come up with anything last week until we decided to take a penalty goal and release the pressure valve.

Ok, apart from twenty minutes your forwards have been getting smashed for the last six weeks.

Dominating the forwards for 20 minutes was never the game plan. When we were winning we were doing it for 80 minutes.

We were scoring points. If we scored a couple of tires Parra would have folded like the week before.

When you throw everything you have and come up empty the opposition feels they are right in the game.

It took Brisbane 15 minutes of dominating us to score a try and we gifted them that after we had done all the hard work. I think we can agree on one thing - the kick for goal was stupid.

Most fans call it stupid.

I call it poor tactics. Even more incredible after what happened last week. But I guess an elementary mistake like that should be overlooked because the coach has a few trophies in the cabinet?

Not good enough in my opinion.

Interestingly Tits opted for the same last nite.
And the end result was the same.

We looked flat with no desperation in defence at times. Cooper made some very average decisions as well. But in saying that Sailor, Smith and Cooper all got over the line but couldn't get it down and on another day Soward's long ball to Sailor would have found him... And I'm not going to mention those 1st half dropped balls... The first time we held it in their half we scored and had them end of 1st half... Neither team was great. In the end teaMs figured us out towards the end ofthe season. Until next year... I believe this yr is a platform for future years and we achieved a lot for the future. SowArd will learn from semis exp and so will others. They've tasted success against top teams and know how to win close games. I believe if we get a semis roll on we can do damage. Our attack will improve with more plays I believe. Not too
many inside balls and attacks up the middle of late.

Where did we go wrong? Well, we didnt have 17 Brett Morris's it's a simple as that. The rest you wouldn't feed on last night's performance. We have to be quite frank here, we had nothing in attack. Our attack has been terrible since Soward lost the plot and form six weeks ago which was highlighted in the Dally M's. We have no flair or pace in the centres, Scott and Cooper can defend but pose hardly any threat with the ball.

Hornby was pathetic and showed no leadership. It made me sick to watch him just stand there when Yoyo or whatever his name is leapt high to take the kick when he scored. Maybe need to rethink a new captain. The forwards all got belted and couldn't hold the ball on simple plays. Lazy defence on the inside was again evident along with a stagnant line that let the Bronco's run to them.

Jeremy Smith was very disappointing but his ankle injury put paid to a good season for him. Prior was over awed and Nev didn't get enough game time. Justin Poore got smashed every time due to his predictability.

We still have massive problems in the hooking role. Fein might come good after a decent off season but who knows?

Poor decision in kicking for goal at nil all. It all went to sh*t from there.
