It's like the definition of an Irish Sculler.

That's a bloke that sits between to 'oars and pulls himself.

this is a tragic thread.

primarily because some of you tosspots seemed to have either lost the ability to pour scorn on obvious goobers or have simply gone soft courtesy of disenchantment with your club.

on the one hand you have an obvious mental deficient claiming to be both married & capable of coitus when in reality it is saying 'darling' to its hand which has lipstick on it.

on the other hand you have societal dross who supports a club for whom the antics of your mob last year simply pop up with the rations with his abomination of a toe-rag mob. cronulla's off-field woes in '09 read like a mere day in the life of the nrl's most despised, corrupt & unruly club that is yet to show us a law they haven't broken.

harden up f*cksticks, or you're in for another painful season!

Well big norm we were also rans like your team, see because winning the premiership is all counts.

You saints fans love to point that out, been a bit of drought for you guys there too.

Couple of extra dollars in our tidy kitty via the Minor Premiership, exceeded all expectations and I'm positive I enjoyed the season more than you:D

Areas of Sharks supporters in the stands were like they were attending a funeral.
Unfortunately this has been all too common in recent seasons (bar 2008). The dill on the mike keeps yelling `Get loud, Sharks fans. Get loud'. When the only thing that gets fans `Loud' is the team giving them something to cheer about.
Gee I hope we've been foxing in the trials. From what I saw of the Tigers game some of our forward defence was little better than a game of touch.

And if my memory serves me correctly he was knocked back by North Sydney early on, or it may well have been Saints??. Reason being he was considered a bit too slight for the rigours of 1st grade footy....he turned out better than most.

I find it funny, no HILARIOUS, that you lot can bag Kimmorley yet he was the best player you've had for the past 8 years.
No he was not, clearly you knowledge of league is very flawed.

He led you to equal first on the ladder and came closer to a premiership than any other half back you've ever had.
f**k off and don't come back until you have learnt your history. Here is a tip Tommy Bishop.

Yet you fail to blame possibly the worst coach in the NRL who continues to make horrible team choices and recruitment choices. Hell, your star signing is JOHN MORRIS! HA!
No we sacked Anderson who bought Brett here and delivered nothing. Morris will be good at 9.

But it's ok, continue to blame Kimmorley. You need someone to blame, even if he's at another club. Pathetic.
Like I said glad he is at your club, you are no threat while he is there.

Now go away and jack off over your halfback. Poor Barba.

Yep, he was knocked back by Easts.
A great player for Saints and was robbed of a comp when coaching the Sharks too. I always remember the day at the SCG when he was hit by a group of opposing players about a yard out from the line. You could hardly see his body, it was covered by so many tacklers but you did see his big arm reach out as he placed the ball on the line for a try.
A great inspiration as a player and a coach.

I gotta admit, I was excited when I heard Kimmorely was coming to the Sharks, I thought we had a shot at getting that elusive Premiership. We had a current Dally M Medalist and one of the greatest attacking players in the game in Preston already here and our team was pretty solid.
Fast forward a year and we are getting towelled 74 nil or some sh*te while Noddy is "in charge" and Presto warms the f**king bench.

Noddy was thrown HUGE amounts of money to win us a premiership. He FAILED. Year after year he tried to play the same flat style and year after year our forwards got smashed and the scripted inside balls was shut down by opposition teams like taking candy from a baby.
No one can deny the guy has heart and gives 110% for his team, but he just isn't a natural attacking halfback, he is an organiser.

Now I myself am employed as an electrician of sorts, if I was hired to do a wiring job at a building site and I was paid a truckload of money and 7 years later I hadn't finished the job, but I was great at ordering the rest of the guys lunches, would you be happy???

I find it very funny that people blame any of the Sharks past failures solely on Noddy's head.

I could list at least a half dozen players or coaches who were paid similar amounts of money or MORE whilst they were with us but didn't deliver but Noddy soley cops the brunt of abuse of a Club littered with failure despite being one of our best contributers to the team whilst he was with us.

Finally the pathetic front office fell on it's sword and a board who thinks outside the square are in.

Now we need the on field stuff to get in order.

And it starts with the coach.

Ricky needs help and he should be man enough to ask for it.

If what I've seen in the trials is a result of what they have been working on in the off season then anyone of us on this forum could've done a better job coaching the team in the off season.

We've scored 3 tries in the trials.

Pom's try wasn't even a try as he dropped it.

Out of the two tries left one was scored by Gordon from a simple offload in a tackle by Tautai.

The other was scored by a bit of pass interchanging up the ruck.

Not exactly inspiring stuff in the attacking department in two games of footy.

Yet I don't see many people here hammering our current halves.
(God knows what would've been said if Noddy was currently playing in the halves.)

I don't see the greater proportion here hammering Ricky Stuart.
(God only knows what would've been said if Stuart Raper or Chris Anderson were the current coach)

For those here that think the sun shines out of Barrett's arse and Ricky Stuart's arse enjoy your season!

I am not blaming it solely on Noddy. I agree there are others whose shoulders also bare the blame.
BUT Noddy and Chris Anderson were brought to the club to win a premiership, and since Kimmorely is the topic of this derailed thread I revolved my reply on my opinion of him.

I blame Anderson 1st and Noddy 2nd.
Plain and simple.

The Sharks went from the best attacking team in the comp to a laughing stock in 18 months.
Then just to rub it into us fans...Preston and Lang win the comp for another team.

f**k Noddy
f**k Anderson
f**k them both to death.

those 2 blokes were in charge and destroyed the lot.

That was what hurt the most, it was heart breaking for Cronulla, but just rewards for Presto, Lang and Marty Lang also.
That guy busted his gut for us for years, getting hit high every week and getting up for more everytime, he had so much passion for the Sharks.

Cheers for that, Popper. I looked it up this morning to cure my curiosity and lack of memory.

preston

and yet andersons son got a spot

Anderson was a lunatic.

This sums up my point earlier:

Ando and his selections and attacking (or lack thereof) style was out undoing.
Same with Raper and his almost Lack thereof any coaching style + also the selections and basically sh*t team.
Ricky and his Coaching style as well.

It wasn't Noddy's fault, it was the coaches and the horrible teams we've had!

Ricky has not been able to coach any attacking football since he's been here. That stats prove that.

But it's all Noddy's Fault.

I'm not an Noddy ass Kisser, I was as frustraited as the next at time but f**k me some of you lot love your scapegoats.

the time line of the last 8 years proves there's alot more to it than "Noddy was a boring merkin who couldn't play"
