From the outside I can see some of the comments, given it's not the best crafted sign out there but -

Mark is one of the most if not the most committed fan out there in the Red V. Most people have gotten to know him over the years and know that he is a good bloke to go with it.

He has earnt the right to take whatever sign he wants.

look, abuse the haters all you like... fact is the banner is stupid.
tradition, commitment, institution etc doesn't change that fact.

Come on... GST???

best supporter ever, worst banner ever.

And you are?

Someone called 'steela' is commenting on "tradition, commitment, institution......".ironic much ....wouldn't know....would he?? lol

UNLESS HE FOLLOWED ST.GEORGE (the merged entity - get over it or F#%K OFF).

What's more important here is your negativity towards a Saints supporter and his banner...
You obviously are unaware of the significance or the time frame involved here?
You obviously don't recognise the importance of that banner when the Dragons run out at Auckland, Townsville, Melbourne or Sydney???

Do you???....NO....wouldn't think so either!

That sign has more fu#%@ng heritage and credibility than you will ever have....

So give up on your piss poor argument...or....be creative??
What does your banner of 20 years that is visible at most games say?

:lol::roll::roll:

of course not, never said I was
looks like I have to point it out to you, but I was actually acknowledging his admirable dedication to the team

Someone called 'steela' is commenting on "tradition, commitment, institution......".ironic much ....wouldn't know....would he?? lol
again, I acknowledge the "tradition, commitment, insitution etc"
take a deep breath before you hit the reply button next time

UNLESS HE FOLLOWED ST.GEORGE (the merged entity - get over it or F#%K OFF).
oh that's a laugh, you could say that to at least half the people in this dragons forum... i'll always be bitter, but i'd LOVE for everyone to get along, it'll never happen.

but that's a different point, good on you for bringing THAT up again

others have made me aware, and I give huge kudos to the man, all i'm saying is the banner itself... is crap!!

Do you???....NO....wouldn't think so either!
thanks for answering your question on my behalf :sarcasm:

That sign has more fu#%@ng heritage and credibility than you will ever have....
maybe... but it's still sh*t

Hold up whatever you want.

Banner has probably seen better days though. Would commisioning a new one be out of the question?

C'mon boys we've seen an influx of sh*theads trying to get at us. Don't let them win. We won tonight that's all that matters. I could go and create another username and attack the scum, or numerous other f##cken clubs. But I won't.

P.s Keep it up G.S.T, doing a great job mate.

Unbelievably insensitive and sh*t stirring thread. I have known GST for 14 years and over those years that guy has never missed a St George game. Nobody has the right to come on here an suggest the GST sign goes. That sign is and always will be a part of the dragon army.

Go waste your breath elsewhere

Actually this thread will give us something to laugh about at next weeks game. Will you be there to join in the fun? I think not

Well you just gave yourself up. The banner is calling the team 'Great'. When someone says that is 'sh*t', they aren't a supporter of the team.

Thanks for confirming that you're just a bitter troll. I guess this is to expected when the red jersey is rolled out. There'll always be one or two that want to pull St George down.

To me that sign is like the baggy green the australian cricketers wear. It is to be used forever untill it no longer manages to make it to the games in one piece.

I dont know how he has managed to keep it in such a readible state actually. I mean, i go to the game and come home and my pair of jeans are f**ked. he's been what? 15years of games x 25 games per year for arguements sake=375games minimum with that sign.

Gee, all you haters probably havent even watched that many games of football fullstop.

The banners an institution and more power to such a loyal fan. The only point the haters have is that it is a bit outdated. Gotta admit, displaying a sign that refers back to sixties is really pushing the nastalgia thing :)

The sixties?

lol.

Thanks for your contribution corner post, but I think you've just added in a new dimension of misunderstanding.
